Because people in California would not care about an SEC team playing there unless it's verse their school. Which is basically a home game. Sure you may get a little exposure to the kids, but with technology it's not like the kids in California struggle to get information about SEC schools.

Cali is a weird state for sports

Not like they are great team but was out in San Diego last year. Basically on the field for a padres game for less than 100 bucks.

Not dismissing your overall point but this isn't a great example. With as many games as they have, you can see plenty of MLB clubs with $5 and a finger in the air.

I have one would have to get it renewed. I like where I'm at and have no desire to go to the Independent Republic of Califexico.

It seems like an opportunity to get in and expose west coast kids to SEC football is being missed here

I can see a neutral site game played in the new LA stadium or in the new Las Vegas stadium when built.

I do not see it being an SEC match-up, as there have only been a handful of games where the SEC travels west of the Central Time zone in the last decade.

Navy and Notre Dame are playing in San Diego this year.

You can probably count on one being played in new Raiders stadium in Vegas.

Also depends on what you call "big." I think Washington State has played a game in Seattle; Colorado/CSU play in Denver.
