It's actually the other way around, podnuh.

Dang, when I asked this question, which at the time I thought was simple enough, I never expected it would garner such a massive response. I knew there was some animosity lurking between these two schools, but I did not realize the hatred was this multi-layered. I feel like there is still more to peel back and explore.

It was a legit question; I’ve wondered the same.
There’s little animosity on our (TAMU) side.
To us, it’s just a fun rivalry.
To be honest, most Ags are kinda at a loss regarding the reciprocated viewpoint.
One internet poster (texags) shouldn’t have that much affect on an entire fanbase (LSU).
Ags have collectively hit the point where we mostly ignore that stuff.
It’s simply an honor to be a member of the conference.

Let's get back to honest answers to the question.
The LSU-TAMU rivalry isn't about male cheerleaders or 74-72 or any of that garbage.
LSU fears what TAMU represents from a demographic and economic perspective. TAMU is the school in east Texas, and 85% of the young people in Louisiana with IQs in the triple digits wind up moving to east Texas for better opportunities. Given that the other 15% of young people in Louisiana with average or greater intelligence eventually move to central Texas, that leaves Louisiana and LSU with a pretty depressing demographic destiny. Bragging about wins in college sports is how Louisianans deflect and suppress thinking about these facts.

Damn, that's kind of sad. Mississippi is the same way, but I don't hold it against Texas, TN, Georgia, and the other states that people flee too. Though, I haven't lived in MS in a long time and only go back for family and football. Maybe if I still lived there I would hate Texas A&M too.

Hmm, kinda like how A&M was a mess in the 2000s
I don’t think they have been save a few years. In fact A&M has tried harder than anyone in the FBS to be relevant. Made several home run hires and conference moves.... yet nothing. It’s beyond their reach.
The window right now isn’t opening because superior programs around you seem to be doing the right things. Second tier programs like A&M need elite programs to mess up they don’t dictate terms.

Kinda weird seeing a gump white knighting for the Aggy. Burrow and O broke you.

The only homeruns were Jackie and Jimbo. RC doesn't count because he was promoted and was supposed to keep A&M out of trouble after Jackie was forced out, but David Boren had other ideas.

Franchione was at the time a better hire on paper than Fisher. He turned to shite at A&M, like Chavis did, but the guy was THE name at the time.

Yep. Franchione,at the time, was the shite.

Better than a coach that won a natty... Ok, Bert.
You need to try harder than that.

Fisher looked like a solid hire but you can’t deny he was showing some signs of declining at FSU. Franchione was well on the up swing.
Still both solid hires don’t get me wrong.... which brings me back to my original point: can it really happen at A&M? Didn’t Sherrill win a Natty somewhere else? I know Bryant and Fisher did.... but what good does that do A&M? Is the exact opposite of LSU. Do you see Miles or Orgeron winning NC somewhere outside LSU. Not huge sample sizes but neither was even remotely close. I guess you could make a case now Orgeron at SC could have made some noise.

Jimbo Fisher is a shite-tier coach that lucked into a national title because he let someone accused of rape stay on the team.
Jimbo Fisher came to A&M because he was running away from the dumpster fire he created at FSU.
A&M, for whatever reason was dumb enough to pay Jimbo 70 million US dollars because they had some delusions about him being a "championshiop-level coach".
The cherry-shaped turd on top of the shite cake though?
This was all before A&M hired the biggest moron of an AD collegiate sports has ever known.

Leaving Louisiana: College Educated Residents Leaving for Texas, and It's Getting Worse
quote:
Louisiana still has a problem keeping its people.
That itself is nothing new. The Bayou State has long been a donor state when it comes to people, with hundreds moving to Texas for work. State and local elected officials have used the words “brain drain” for decades.
But according to data compiled by Gary Wagner, Acadiana Business Economist with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, it's getting worse. Among college-educated residents, Louisiana had the worst net migration — the number of people moving in minus the number of those moving out — with Texas in 2017 than in the previous 10 years.
The data shows the younger adults are behind the change. Net migration to Texas for those ages 24 and under with a degree in 2017 was at -2,140, the worst since 2004. For ages 25-34, that year it was -1,343 after being at -1,275 in 2016.
It means the Lone Star State is taking Louisiana’s biggest investments — its best and brightest people educated at LSU and other taxpayer-supported universities.
