Do they not remember how well they usually start off super late august through September and then bomb most of their games later on?
2012: sept record 3-1 (11-2)
2013: sept record 4-1 (9-4)
2014: sept record 5-0 (8-5)
2015: sept record 5-0 (8-5)
2016: sept record 4-0 (???)
Excluding 2012, you guys have been shite from October on.
See guys, you always start off good but you can't finish the job. Unfortunately it's like most of your fanbase's sex life.

Because they feel like they have a chance to win the West this year. If they had already lost a few games it would be quiet in here and insert team who is undefeated in their place.

This team seems to have a little more going for it now than in previous years+ they've actually played a tough schedule

We played 4 REALLY SHITTY teams. South Carolina will be the toughest opponent we have faced this year.

Western Kentucky, Marshall, and UCF each have more conference championships than LSU and A&M combined since you joined the SEC. They must be great programs right?
