"Suddenly so cocky"??? They've always been that way ... you just never had to experience it because you were far enough removed from them. Sons of bitches almost make Bama fans seem rational.

Because they played very well against a good schedule. That's much more impressive than needing help from the SEC scheduling office to back door into Atlanta two years in a row.

Troof. As I recall, the Dawgs were slated to play Bama this season before the conference realignment started. They ended up playing Ole Miss instead. WEAK.

Our fans are douchebags who have no idea how to handle success. But then again, who isn't annoying when they over reach on a season?

I have no problem with A&M talking about if the chips fall right they could end up in the MNCG, but to say you should beat teams like Alabama and LSU is just funny, and when you just give yourselves all this talent that has yet to be recruited is hilarious as well. Even now as we speak A&M is being out recruited by at least 4 other SEC teams.

The desire for success is great, but it doesn't just happen overnight. Be patient young Padawans, you may just get what you're looking for.

Just an FYI. If you actually think there's a huge difference between say number 6 and number 10 on some random recruiting websites' team rankings then you need to ensure that you do not reproduce.

Reasons--- Florida loss: lost by three points despite brand new coach, running back, and qb who hasn't played in two years. We'd kill them if we rematches

You ignore the fact that y'all were leading 17-7 at one point in the game.

They allowed the rest of the conference to establish their expectation for this season. Now that they have beaten Bama, Miss State and Ole Miss they are pretty pleased with themselves.

Don't let TeLeFaWx be the measuring stick for the whole fan base.

Hmmm, well I figure 3 years of top 10 recruiting classes is likely to produce more talent than say 3 years of recruiting classes ranked 15-20. Not to mention the recruiting class rankings in many ways parallel the polls. Maybe because you're a Texas fan you don't believe in the rankings anymore. Probably because there's a bias towards Texas recruits.

Don't judge a fan base on a few people posting on Internet forums. Come to college station and see how friendly and accommodating Texas A&m fans are. That being said-blow me.

3rd in the SEC West is somthing to be proud of.

5th in the SEC isn't bad for their first year.

aTm just needs to make sure they win their bowl game.

I'm not sure what JoLeUGA has stuck up his butt or what this is all about. For me, yer damn right I'm excited after years of frustration with Fran and Sherman. We now have the perfect fire-breathing coach that will have his team prepared, no excuses. That's new for us. As for the "I wish we could replay <whoever>" posts I see from time to time, those are silly. Florida and LSU are both very good teams that beat us fairly - move on.

Where we're obviously lacking right now is depth. When we put in the 2nd string guys, the opponent all of a sudden looks dangerous. Missouri 29 points, SHSU 28 points, Auburn 21 points, etc. Contrast that with 'Bama's 49-0 beatdown playing their subs and it is obvious we're not there yet. I'm not sure it will happen next year, but by 2014 I'm hoping with Sumlin's recruiting we'll have the same sort of talent that can dominate a game with subs. Not so much for the score, but because we were really lucky with the lack of injuries this year and subs will be more important when we aren't so lucky.

Having said all that, I have to agree with RockyMountainAg: blow me.
