I at you. He's statue worthy because all coaches that win national titles at the Capstone get and deserve one. Not something easy to do. Also know this tiger chaser, and this is for tiger chaser only, if his overrated self doesn't come to Death Valley, guess where your football team is right now??? Thanks and have a nice day.

This

The process being that after a national championship year Saban coaches like he doesn't give a shite and then leaves for another job.

I actually think his so far inability or unwillingness to maintain a program at the highest level is what keeps him at Alabama the rest of his career.

Saban loves a challenge. He has made building a program look easy to this point. The last chapter if his book will be whether or not he was up to the challenge of winning long term. Going somewhere else and building them up would add nothing to his legacy.

The difference between Bama last year & this year is Bama does not finish the game. They jump out with a big lead & sit on it. They have not played 4 quarters this year.

He did when the Colts won the super bowl that year. Patriots were killing the Colts at the half and with that D, you KNOW its bank. Problem is Peyton didn't cooperate. Does that mean Belicheck doesn't know defense?

Because Saban is overrated...LSU fans tried to tell you guys this before, but nobody wanted to listen...all you wanted to do was start counting how many National Titles you would win....still a good coach, but not what everybody tried to make him out to be....NOT STATUE WORTHY...

come dude, at least have some common sense here....

now in 2004, most of LSU fans were tired of hereing what job he'd take next, it was every damn job that came open his agent was wheeling and dealing.
And that was probably the only reason we were glad to see him leave.

I'm sorry, but how is Saban overrated? The guy just finished going undefeated in the SEC the last 2 regular seasons after inheriting a mess at Bama. No Coach is going to go undefeated every single year, esp in a league that is as competitive as the SEC. Bama, LSU, AU, UF, UGA, etc are always clawing at one another trying to gain conference supremecy. It's cyclical. Bama will be a good team again next year. They will likely have a hiccup or two b/c they'll be starting a new QB, but they will still be a 9 win team at worst. I agree that Saban is a great builder of programs, but I also believe he can also be a great maintainer. Just look at how loaded he left LSU when he went to Miami. We were absolutely stacked for 3 years. Bama can look fwd to the same.
