As someone said earlier Mizzou just doesn't fit in culturally or athletically, A&M fits in from an athletic standpoint, but they aren't necessarily 'Southeastern'.. More 'Texan', if you will. But in the end it's about the almighty dollar and we're glad you're here. You'll settle in soon enough

very true. I do feel more comfortable in the southeast then anywhere else besides Texas. Feels more like home...not home, but a hell of a lot closer then west or north.

Some people belonging to a minority have an inferiority complex that is comforted by putting others down. They are certainly not old school Southerners who know anything about hospitality. Speaking for the majority who do not have this complex, welcome to the SEC Mizzou. You are as much a part of this conference as anyone else.
Having said that, it would not be prudent for Mizzou fans to be bragging about the waves their going to make. Action speaks louder than words.

You're entitled to that opinion but I stand behind my original statement. Feeling that they aren't a good fit here is a legit opinion that doesn't necessarily mean I have some complex. Sorry for not wanting our league to get watered down

I certainly don't hate Mizzou, but I was totally unimpressed with Missouri players' attitudes beginning with Media Days. I appreciate confidence, but calling out the competition before a game is played was not good strategy.
A&M did a much better job coming in. They didn't call anybody out nor say how playing in the SEC would be nothing new to them. Instead, they spoke softly and came to Tuscaloosa and slammed the Tide.
Mizzou will be alright now that both players and fans should know that this league IS different, that it is grown man football, and that on any given Saturday in the SEC any team can be beaten in league play.
