If the gun was used for self defense then there is no crime. Reasonable to assume people would help a friend defend himself if needed.
But murder is a different story.

The only question is how long before the case gets moved out of Tuscaloosa. Because it's obvious this family cannot expect fair treatment in Tuscaloosa. The press has shown with three U of A players evolved no one should expect the PTB to suddenly do the right thing.

I'm not defending this person in any way, shape or form, but UK expelled a student for eternity for using racial slurs, words!!!
Bama has a guy deliver a gun to a teammate which ultimately killed an innocent mother, and he's still playing, getting free tuition, room and board and representing the university on national TV.
Which is worse?

According to Miles’ defense attorney Mary Turner, Miles texted Miller at 1:38 a.m. the day of the shooting, saying “I need my joint [gun] a n****r rl jus got a fakin.”
“They’re faking, which means they were threatened, right?.” Turner asked Culpepper, referring to Miles’ text. Culpepper indicated that he didn’t know, to which Turner replied, “I do. I looked it up. Urban Dictionary
He knew what was happening. University of Alabama cares only about winning a game. Pathetic and sad

So it could be incredibly reasonable to believe his buddy may need his gun to defend himself?

You guys kid your friends and I will kid mine, but let's not kid each other.
If this incident happened in May, Miller is already off the team.

Guess that’s where smarts come in. I’d tell my friends to get the frick out and stop being stupid before they’re arrested. Now we’re getting into helping with premeditated murder if he goes that route.

It's pretty apparent to the country that Alabama doesn't care about this murder

We definitely know that at the University of Alabama, sports trump everything - even human life. It’s not about the prosecution element but about Alabama as an institution putting their foot down. We all know where Bama stands now.
I’m proud to be a South Carolina alum and fan, knowing surely our university wouldn’t allow such a player to play in the same situation.

Exactly. I’ve said the same thing. Student handbook or team rules should be able to address a situation like this while due process plays out in the court system.
