Better QB, Mayfield
Better NFL player, Jackson
Better NFL player, Jackson

Lamar Jackson is a one-read QB who pulls the ball down and takes off if his first read isn't open. That's why people think he's so dynamic. That won't fly in the NFL.

Thats bcuz he doesnt have a line like mayfield, only being honest

Mayfield and its not even close when it comes to the NFL. Jackson will be another RG3

We've all seen them both play, this is an obvious attempt by the OP to confuse people

Baker didn't have a line his first year either. Lamar Jackson is too dependent on his legs and he's too quick to use them. I'm not at all sold on his ability to go through his progressions at all because that's not what he does. It's not just his Oline. It's his first instinct. He's an impressive athlete, but not a complete QB in any sense. Doesn't mean he can't be. Just means he isn't.

Hard to predict who will do better but from a draft perspective you would have to take Jackson over Mayfield.
Baker will not have good metrics at the combine...plus how good could Jackson have been had he been surrounded by two NFL starting RBs, an outland trophy finalist OT, a mackey winning TE, a and a Biletnikoff WR?

Jackson will be a converted WR by the end of his NFL career

This isn't close to being true. He's running the same stuff for the most part that Petrino did at Arky with some designed run plays added in (which was a big talking point for Mallet being "pro ready" or whatever). Petrino's offense puts tons of responsibility on the QB for both pre and post-snap reads relative to the college game. Jackson's not that big of a scrambler and certainly isn't taking off after one read consistently.
Keeps his eyes downfield.
Keeps his eyes downfield.
Keeps his eyes downfield.
Drops a dime from the pocket. One of many drops from his receivers this season.
I could go on...

Go ahead
In every clip you posted, he has zero head movement and throws the ball to his first read after he dances around waiting for him to come open, which you're confusing with "keeping his eyes downfield". I call that "bird dawgin". Do you know what a QB looks like when he's going through his progressions?

Mayfield. I just don't see Jackson making it in the NFL as a QB.
