I was halfway kidding. But relative to his size Hightower is pretty fast.

I'll give him that, he is a huge LB. Miles will probably keep trying to exploit the outside running game because of that though. Was kidding too, life's too short to get upset over a blog

I watched the replay and noticed LSUs DEs are weak

if you knew anything about football you would know what our strategy that game was.to contain TR! not tear up AJ like we did to tyler wilson and aaron murray.

I will say that Hightower looked gassed at the end of the game. I only noticed it on 1 play though so it might not have totally been the case. LSU's second half strategy was pretty good. It'll be really interesting to see how the option factors into the game. Good luck

So LSU, knowing they have a beastly secondary, didn't want to pressure Alabama's shitty first year QB?

Trouble is everyone on the team is so good that no one has dominating statistics. Kind of like the LSU RBs, overwhelming unit but individually not as impressive. Tackles are evenly spread out. Passes defended are about equal. Everyone does their job and the unit is rewarded. No one gets 18 tackles a game like the BC or KY LB.

This is why I think we win Jan 9. If you contain on TR this time and don't pressure AJ then AJ will be the difference in the game. IMO, AJ had his worst game Nov 5 and missed seeing a lot of wide open receivers. If he can open up the run then then this game is over mid way through the 3rd qtr.

Let me add that I played against Donta Hightower when he was a junior at Marshall County High School in Lewisburg, TN. I was a senior and we had to come back from a 21-7 deficit to defeat them 28-21 in a region 5 3A game. Let me say this, Donta Hightower was 6'4 245 and ran a 4.6 in the 40 and he hit so hard that we were arguing in the 3rd quarter of the game who was going to have to tackle him. I played FS and he straight trucksticked me like Madden, they replayed it the next week at game film and it looked pretty rough, I'm still sticking to the fact that I "slipped" on a clover when Donta ran up the middle lol. Dude is a beast and I wish the best for him at any level. A great football player and I'm a diehard LSU fan.
