Is it the drug use that plummeted his stock?

What kind of "drugs" did he do?
I don't consider weed a "drug"....
Just wondering.

If it was just weed then I assume this is not the reason for him to fall out of the first. I am really kind of confused. I have always just assumed the guy was a first rounder.

I don't know, I thought he was the most NFL-ready QB in the draft.

i mean all you have do is look at the dude and know he's on the rock.

Didn't he admit to using meth?

It is odd...Either the Panthers thing really hurt him or there is way more to this drug issue than Arkansas fans know or the speculation of haters...
I would think the teams would know who they wanted as a QB before the panthers deal...
I think the first 3 QB's taken were bad picks at their respective draft order...just me though

So did I - at least better trained/prepared than the 3 that went ahead of him.

i dont spend time with RM (or any college kids) so I couldn't tell you what drugs he has done. I dont consider weed a drug, either.
if people accused those who "look" like meth users, than half of bama, miss, ark, and la would be verifiable meth users.
something kept him down. who knows. for the titans to take who they did over RM...is saying something. granted, it IS the titans organization.

I think he is the most NFL-ready, but obviously something is up we don't know about.

problem is the NFL does but I still dont think that weed would prevent anyone from drafting him.

A person would have to think that he could have cleaned out his system in preparation for the draft though. To at least give himself a shot at an early pick.
Something just seems fishy as hell about this to me.

then you are assuming that no draft picks ever smoked weed on a regular or somewhat regular basis. ?
if an NFL teams wants a player, there are some things that are overlooked at the time.

not disagreeing with you, but if he was in the league and tested positive he would be banned 4 games. I don't think that is what is preventing him from being drafted though. There has to be something else.

I'd take Mallett over Ponder any day of the week, that being said Ponder was picked waaaaay too high. Vikings are essentially betting their short term future on a guy who has had a lot of trouble staying healthy.
