His one solid game came against an ACC team. Woohoo.

You can have Manziel all you need is a qb to sustain drives and not turn the football over. That's why you have other positions on offense like rb, te, and wr.
Some coaches have won championships using two qb's in the same season i'm just sayin.
I think ppl are overrating the qb card.
I mean UF just had a double digit win season with Driskell and LSU just went 10-3 with not very good offense no disrespect to those two fanbases.
The one thing those two teams did have in common though was stingy defense so for that reason and me being a gamecock fan I'm going with Clowney because I simply thing the qb position is overrated it all depends on how u utilize the skill set of your qb.
also if u double team clowney your arse is grass. because somebody else will pile drive your qb into the turf.

If Clowney hadn't had the monster hit in the Michigan game, nobody would be saying shite about him. He had an average season for a football freak
I guess that's why he finished 6th in Heisman votes.

It's not the QB Card.
It's the running card.

Florida still had a decent running game. And that's why they won as many games as they did.
A&M has a great running game. And it more than makes up for their pedestrian defense.

Take a look at the above link and tell me what stands out to you regarding the teams that gave Bama trouble.

Clowney. Defense wins championships and what not.
At the end of the season people who voted for Manziel will look back at this thread and wonder what the hell they were thinking

Yeah well it's no secret that if u can't run in this league and play defense u will lose. It's the obvious formula to winning that's why I said the qb position is overrated imo

Unless the QB can run for 1400 yards and 21 TDs.
You wonder why you lost your games? It's because as a team, you only rushed for 19 TDs on the year.
Even more-so than the defense, the pathway to the SEC Championship is on the ground into the endzone.

Clowney's team lost to UF and LSU by a combined 35 points.
And you lost both of those at home. Our losses were back-to-back on the road, and UF was also our third consecutive game against a Top 10 team.
I hate making excuses. We shite the bed against Florida, no doubt, but that's what three fumbles lost will do to you. Very few teams could go through the grinder that our team had to last year and be successful.

Best win on Johnny's resume is #1 Alabama.
Ah, the euphoria of being able to say this. Enjoy it while it lasts. Eventually no one on this board will give a shite, except for your fanbase.

Well we only lost two games from what I saw it wasn't for lack of running it was mostly due to something like 5-6 turnovers between the two.

I've posted this several times. But some don't ever seem to get it.
2012 Bama = 37 rushing TDs
2011 LSU = 35 rushing TDs
2010 Auburn = 41 rushing TDs
2009 Bama = 31 rushing TDs
2008 Florida = 42 rushing TDs
2007 LSU = 35 rushing TDs
You are not going to get there with the best defensive player in the conference and only 19 rushing TDs. No way. No how.

No shite.
LSU sacked you 4 times.
Florida sacked you 4 times.
You threw 3 picks in those games as well.
You can't beat the best teams in this league in the air.
You ran all over UGA for 230 yards and 2 rushing TDs.
Against Florida... you abandoned the run game altogether.

Ouch.
I hope if Alabama loses the A&M game and A&M goes to the SECCG, they meet SCAR. Johnny Manziel will be running for his life trying to get away from that freak.

2010 Auburn = 41 rushing TDs
Has an SEC team ever posted stats like that while not running a purely run only offense?

You know what all those teams had that we didn't a ton of players down the depth chart and they used all of them. Your posing all these teams with 25-35+ rushing td's. Those teams had running qb's and used multiple rb's. Hell LSU used 3 different running backs against us. We don't use that many running backs that's why we only had 19td's. At most you will see two backs in the game for us in our offense and if u see our 5th running back that means we got like three injuries at the position. It's got nothing to do with us not being able to run okay which is the alley u seem to be going down.

Some teams can run the football on 1st down.
Those stats are not those teams.
Those teams with that many rushing TDs can run the football on 1st down, or 2nd down, or 3rd down.
And that's not South Carolina.
Do you think you are so special that you don't have to do what EVERY successful conference champion does?
LOL Good luck with that. Tell me how the Outback Bowl works out for you in 2013.

I know u can't beat the best teams in this league through the air that's why murray continues to put up 3k yd seasons and has yet to beat south carolina.

Well thats what happens when you fumble at the one on the first play from scrimmage and give up two more TD by turnovers inside your own 20.
