Could save a few more bowl games from irrelevance, even if a 2nd tier title.

Eta: could also remove auto-bids from the CFP equation with a guarantee of auto-bids for them in the lesser tourney. Rank the top 12 in CFP poll and let them play. The rest get a seat in the invitational

Honestly, I kinda love this idea. Would be way more fun than the dumb bowl games.
