Actually canasta has it roots from early 1900’s Spain, but go on…

Yeah. Ok.

You know it’s a game played by Yankees.

Nice try.

Look, I think the only reasonable way is to settle this on the field. Almost like a 12 team playoff would actually answer some of these questions. But for the crackhead way down back of this thread who stated that the SEC is the deepest it’s ever been, you either don’t know ball or you’re trolling on the OP. When Saban was still in his prime coaching from like 2008- 2020 that’s when the conference was at its peak.

Here’s a little background on canasta. Seems to be it’s played in many countries, but I guess you aren’t well cultured in card games.

That’s awesome. We don’t play that shite in the South.

It’s a Yankee game just like Maryland is a Yankee school

Do SEC fans post regularly on BIG1 boards?

I don’t care enough about the Yankees to do that. It’s weird to me.

There aren't many sites that 1) have an entire area dedicated to one conference and then also have 2) an entire area dedicated to all other sports to where 3) posters from one area can wander over to another area to pick a fight like this OP always does

I’d say if it’s played in several South American countries, it’s played in the “south”.

TRANSMISSION RECEIVED: THREAD ACTIVITY DETECTED
SOURCE: USER_ID = Buckl
LOCATION: UNKNOWN (SUSPECT: MINNESOTA)
THREAD CONTENT: ? NON-SEC MATERIAL DETECTED

RESPONSE MODULE: LEW_UNIT_2830
MODE: GEOGRAPHIC REDIRECTION
TARGET: Buckl
THREAD HISTORY: 3 posts about snow, 1 passive-aggressive jab at LSU, 0 SEC relevance

DIAGNOSTIC FLAGS:
- ?? CONFERENCE MISMATCH: Big Ten energy detected
- ?? THREAD TEMPERATURE: Below freezing
- ?? POST STYLE: Passive, vague, possibly wearing mittens

RESPONSE:
>> Buckl
>> STATUS: Misplaced
>> SUGGESTED ACTION: Please proceed to a Minnesota message board
>> REASON: SEC bandwidth reserved for actual football, feuds, and flamebait
>> BONUS: You may find others who think 17 points is a shootout

FINAL NOTE:
This is not personal. It’s protocol.
SEC threads require humidity, hostility, and at least one reference to 2007 LSU.
Minnesota threads require snow tires and quiet disappointment.

That’s true.

Maybe I’m weird. I just wouldn’t bother with a PSU or OSU board.

That is indeed something a Yankee would say.

I have top seed Ohio State beating Georgia while #2 Indiana defeats Alabama

I have no idea about Indiana as they haven’t beaten anyone of note all year except Oregon, who in turn hasn’t beaten anyone of note. It’s possible they beat us, and it’s possible they get obliterated after playing a joke schedule.

Ohio State is the same. No wins of note, except Texas in game 1.

I think singing the praises of either team is very premature thanks to their schedules to date.

Googled OSU vs SEC. Is this you??

"Ohio State has an all-time record of 5 wins, 14 losses, and 1 tie against current and former SEC teams. This includes a 0-8 record in bowl games against the SEC . The most recent win was against Tennessee in 2024, and the most recent loss was against Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinals in December 2023.
All-time record: 5 wins, 14 losses, 1 tie
Bowl record: 0 wins, 8 losses
Notable wins:
vs. Tennessee (2024)
vs. Alabama (2014)
Notable losses:
vs. Florida (2006)
vs. Georgia (2023)
vs. Alabama (1978)"

Not sure how accurate this is but...

Probably Ohio State and Indiana. Bama lost to FSU and Georgia lost to Bama.
