I wouldn't say Drake Nevis is light in the britches, but we are a little suspect on the ends. We have speed out there, but we rarely collapse a pocket from the outside because of muscle.

Nevis is your dline... from what I've seen. Montgomery would have made a big difference this year.

Well, Bama will not have Mark Barron for the Bowl game, since he tore a pectoral muscle early in the IB.

But LSUs offense does still stink. They edged out Vandy for crappiest offense. Hmm...

We're very good against the run

Not to be an arse, but Texas had "the best run defense in the country" last year too. You saw how that worked out. You think those stats might have something to do with playing in the Big 12 where running the ball is as popular as fruit cake on christmas morning?

To me a win is most important, and with that said Bama has shown the propensity to semi-quit when it’s not for all the marbles or the game seems to be in hand. Argue that all you want, but that is the national perception right now. So for that reason alone I would like Bama, now Saban with a month makes me nervous and I think on a good day Bama can still beat just about anyone in the country badly.

Nebraska runs the ball frequently and we held up well against them. We held OU well below their season rushing average.

But you are right, most Big 12 teams are very pass happy.

Guess if I reversed the question who would I rather LSU play A&M or Oklahoma I might say the same about Oklahoma.

Very few teams have tried to go vertical on us.

Texas went vertical on their first TD. I think you were in some sort of cover 2, GG hit Goodwin in the soft spot of the zone, Goodwin juked the shite out of your safety....TD Texas.

A&M's defense does have one different maker, Vonn Miller. That guys is a beast.

That wasn't a vertical route, Goodwin curled into the zone along the seam, caught the pass, then juked out Hunter for the TD. No one got beat deep.

I live in Houston and A&M hates LSU the most by far outside the big 12 conference. They are still whining about LSU stopping the series in the 90's.
