I'm okay with building a great monument for the 250th anniversary.

That's the perfect spot to do it. Make it so. :usa:
Ace Frehley is hilarious in this Tom Snyder interview

Gene Simmons looks pissed because Ace is stealing the show.

This for Mobile, including the updated Bayway, both 3 lanes each way, for $3.7 billion.
Does that price include widening the causeway, too? That's a lot of money.

The bridge will look great in downtown Mobile, though. Hope it happens soon.

Meanwhile in Baton Rouge…

A new offramp and merge system off the BR bridge would only take 1/2 mile of new elevated highway to fix.

It's ridiculous that problem still exists after all these years.
The Sam Houston Tollway is getting this bridge over the Houston Ship Channel for $1 billion dollars.

Lake Charles is getting this for $2.3 billion.

Can anyone explain this?

Thanks for the video.

I grew up an Apple fan under Jobs. I can't think of a single improvement Apple has made under Cook. All it seems to do now is nickel-and-dime customers into having to buy new accessories, more storage space, etc.

Jobs revolutionized so many industries:
- The home PC industry (Macintosh)
- The movie industry (Pixar)
- The internet (iMac)
- The music industry (iPod)
- The phone industry (iPhone)
- The tablet industry (iPad)

Under Cook, Apple has revolutionized:
- ?

I remember loving software updates when Jobs had Apple because it usually meant cool new features. Under Cook I dread them because it's usually something more complicated to use, or is only available through more upgrades or subscriptions. Apple sucks now.

Cook should have been ousted years ago. Now it may be too late.

They need to get it from Lafayette to New Orleans first.
Do a public/private partnership and make it a toll road. That's what they're doing to I-10 through Lake Charles.
At the airport, the skyway is for pedestrians, and the runway is for airplanes.

It's the damn bridge in Port Allen
Why can't the eastbound lanes at the bottom of the bridge be reconfigured? I've never understood that.

You could build a new, widened offramp while the current one exists. You could do it with a lesser curve to make it safer, too. And it would only require a half-mile of new elevated highway. That's it. 0.5 miles. Is Louisiana incapable of building that?

I spread butter on bread and used a skillet. Unbelievably delicious. I had forgot that's what we did many years ago.
Learned that trick from my mom. Perfect toast for dunking, too.

the storm just wiped out the marshes
The salt water killed a lot of the marsh.

When the Army arrived, their first plan was to leave the cattle that survived out in the marsh until they could be handled later.

The county agent told them, "The marsh is now full of salt water. If you leave them out there, they will die." So, the Army decided to rescue cattle with choppers to save them.
