I grew up around a lot of dogs. I don't remember any of them shitting themselves or bleeding over a fricking thunderstorm. Ever. Sounds like these freaked-out dogs are conditioned to have such fears....

That book is crazy. Who knows how much of it is true? But, it reveals some very interesting information. Great book just to learn some forgotten history of New Orleans....
Used to feed heartworm tablets to the hunting dogs every day as a kid. I'd munch a crumb or two from time to time. They were pretty tasty!...

It was a good festival when it was oriented around boating and the lake. Used to have boat races, and the lake was packed with boats, particularly along the sea wall. It was a lot of fun in those days. After a fatal boat crash in the early 90s, law enforcement became gestapo on the lake, boardi...
What are the practical implications of these reassignments?
Not much, other than it slightly alters statistics used for things like federal programs and business attraction. The Covington, Mandeville, Slidell MSA will probably be one of the more demographically attractive MSAs in th...
How pissed off you get when you’re shitting sideways from eating bad oysters?
This guy's oysters weren't baking in the sun all day, nor were they covered in bird crap, if any. They were as fresh caught as oysters can get, getting boarded while he's tonging. A little discretion fro...
I watched one episode of Louisiana Law, and got pissed. Game Wardens boarded the fishing boat of a guy raking oysters. That's tough work, if you could imagine. Well, the guy didn't have his burlap sacks of oysters covered by a tarp, which means they could be potentially contaminated by bird s...
Don't forget, amidst all the lockdowns, BLM protests were exempt:
For months, public health experts have urged Americans to take every precaution to stop the spread of Covid-19—stay at home, steer clear of friends and extended family, and absolutely avoid large gatherings. Now some of tho...
