They keep it murky on purpose. It should be the higher seed. Period.

Manchester is an hour max from Nashville. I know plenty of people that have in the past and likely will attend both Bonnaroo and CMA Fest

Vandy is going to get to host and sell all of their 3,500 tickets to Vandy fans because the NCAA is a flaming pile.

I was talking in terms of 1 to 64. The 16 No. 2 seeds are ranked 17 to 32 by the committee. By my calculations, MSU was #26 and Vandy was #23. In a fair world, Vandy would get the nod... but... $$$$.

As long as Bundy doesn’t say Starkville, Starkville has a chance to host.

Since when? The only seeds that are actually ranked are 1-16 and that is new to this year ranking more than 8 teams. The 2 seeds are not ranked 17-32. If you believe that, the 2 seeds would be ranked as followed based on what regional they were sent to

17. Auburn
18. UConn
19. UCLA
20. Indiana
21. USC
22. USF
23. Vandy
24. Louisville
25. Duke
26. State
27. Purdue
28. Southern Miss
29. Tennessee tech
30. LSU
31. Baylor
32. Jacksonville

But that's not and never has been how 2 seeds are delineated. 2 seeds, for the most part, are spread out regionally to minimize travel. Obviously that's not true in every regional, but for the most part it is.

MSU will likely host because the Super will be bid on and Msu has the ability for a huge capacity crowd. It's all about the money when it comes to the Ncaa so plan on MSU hosting.

2 seeds aren't ranked. The criteria is both schools put in bids and the NCAA selects the winning bid based on attendance, hotels and whatever the frick they they want. I have a feeling State is gonna get fricked here because Vandy already had to play in Starkville this year and swept us. If the NCAA likes money and ESPN having hotel rooms to sleep in they will pick State. If they'd prefer ESPN sleeps in tents outside they'll pick Nashville.

how is losing to the #3 overall seed in the championship round of a regional an embarrassment to the SEC?

even with CMA Fest in Nashville this weekend, Nashville is a big city with plenty of cities in the metro area that will be more than enough to accommodate an NCAA baseball series. Where State looks better is they have a larger stadium
