So are you just "wishcasting" him into being the answer at QB given you haven't seen him play more than one game either?

To some degree, yes. It’s entirely possible that his strong work in practice won’t translate to game days. That happens.

But I feel pretty confident that between King, 5 star Conner Weigman, and the chance of Zach improving, we’ll be far better at QB next year. But anything can happen.

If I had to predict, though, based on what one heard within the program, I think it’ll be King. Some Ags think Weigman is the kind of talent who will ball out as a true freshmen, but I think that’s expecting too much.

Great comeback! It will work every year until it doesn't. And that could be a long time.

I’ve never seen team celebrate a recruiting class that isn’t signed yet. A bit premature wouldn’t you say?

and yet, yall continue to cast this young freshman as the missing link to an appearance in the ATL this year
what will the mantra be when he is sidelined with an injury again next year...

King would have made lots of plays with his legs that Calzada simply can't. Thats undeniable

Anyone with a brain knows this years Aggie team was a QB away from competing with anyone

Just ask our defense

Texas 8&4 has been going all out the last two years with bag drops to recruits. When will Aggy learn that you can’t buy championships?

Seriously, how are you guys so damned optimistic in the face of abject failure this year?

There's a reason they make Aggie jokes. It's been 81 years, the whole thing is a hoax.

So spending big money on a proven coach, assistants and "buying" players is a bad idea? Its not the way you win titles?

It’s called NIL. It’s what motivated programs with sufficient resources do to build elite rosters. It’s legal.

It’s not like we’re spending 100 million dollars on a coach who has never won a major bowl game in a desperate attempt to buy a championship.
