Brendan Douglas was a starter in 2013 in the 1-2-3 punch with Gurley and Marshall. Played every game, and not just garbage time. He help tenderize defenders for Gurley. He’s the one we called “ROWK”. Roided Out White Kid

I don't remember him starting. But with injuries, he was relied upon heavily.

I was wrong about him. I thought he would get better each year and be a solid contributor by his senior season. With the influx of talent, the opposite happened. He had 5 carries his senior season.

Makes you wonder how many of the great RB's of the '60s and '70s would have even played major college ball if integration had happened a lot sooner and black athletes had the same opportunities in those days as in the present.

Not really

What do you mean? He started all 14 games in 2007's NC run, rushed for 1100+ yards and was selected 2nd-team All SEC.

Brendan Douglas. Started the 13 Mizzou game IIRC.

Then we beat Ohio State in the National Championship Game

I don’t understand why there aren’t more white kids that can tote the rock.

At least you’ll see a few prominent white RBs every now and then. I don’t know when was the last time I’ve seen a prominent white CB in college or NFL.

Glorious beatdown of OSU. Never gets old seeing OSU getting slapped around.

Tre Smith was actually the starting RB in 2005 for AU over Kenny Irons in the season opener against GT. Irons replaced him in game 2 and had one of the best seasons in Auburn history. Smith actually dropped to 3rd team.

The last cornerback I remember was Jason Seahorn 94-03 for the Giants and Rams. He was very good for a 5-6 year stretch too.

Brock Olivo. Actually has his name in our ring of honor, undeservedly, but it's there. He was the special teams player of the year in '97. He left school as our all time rushing leader
