Ohio State deserves to get in.
The playoff teams don't want them in because they are far more afraid of Ohio State than they are Texas & especially FSU minus their qb.
The people lobbying for FSU over OSU just want a weak opponent in the playoffs.

Congrats on finally getting a win against a currently ranked team lol
Bama’s been chilling with 3 since the first week of Nov, two of which are against better teams than Oregon can claim

You are right but with championship games coming this weekend it won't matter for them. They are done.

Actually the death penalty only applied to SMU like 40 years ago.
USC was bowl-banned, tOSU was bowl-banned & had wins vacated.
I just don't understand how a Michigan staffer puts on Central Michigan gear, stands on the sideline at a CMU vs MSU game, and it's brushed under the rug.
All Michigan has done is deflect, deflect, deflect. So the big "what-if" occurs if Michigan happens to win the Natty. I don't think that will happen, but the NCAA may be in a position to vacate their Natty...this whole thing is silly.
I know many hat tOSU here, but realy, the best case would have been for tOSU to beat Michigan and put this thing to bed for 2023. Now it lingers....

OSU has no chance of being in the playoffs this year. NO conference will have more than one team in. A Texas and/or Alabama win will push them past an idle tOSU. This year you're gonna need to win your conference championship to get there.

would it shock anyone if the committee keeps them in the top 4 over Florida State?
I would be shocked if they put OSU above an unbeaten team that will probably win their conference.

Wouldn't be surprising if Ohio St is 5th but it doesn't really matter since any of the three potential 12-1 conference champions would jump them next week.

Correct.

They'll be at 6, just ahead of Bama.
Because you know Michigan is better than Texas. Lol

They have zero chance of making the playoffs

I expect OSU to either slot just above or just below Oregon

It doesn't matter. They're not finishing in the top 4.
Not at the end, either. Oregon, Texas, and/or Alabama will jump them if they win Saturday. Sitting at home on championship Saturday is a killer. They are done.

1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Oregon
5. Florida State
6. Ohio State
7. Texas
8. Alabama
What will be interesting to see is if they leave Oregon and Washington both in if Oregon wins a close game, even with a Florida State win.

They will be ranked above Bama and possibly Texas tonight, but that will work itself out after the conference championship games.
No team should be rewarded for sitting at home during the conference championships, but no teams have benefited more from that then Ohio State and Alabama.

You are right. Close game at Michigan. Very close.
If UGA was #1 and Bama #2 and Bama lost by a FG in Athens…. Bama probably woukd drop no lower than #5 in playoff rankings.
It’s not like Michigan dominated…. Not even close to winning convincingly. O say this and I don’t like OSU or Michigan.
