Who remembers the "mule" quote from Vern during AU-AK game?

They were talking about Cam's recruitment and Verne said Cam's father said he felt like he didn't want Cam to go to MSU and be a mule.
What did that mean, work for free????
This was before any of this came out and Verne didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

This went down during Cam's recruitment. Cecil Newton said he preferred Auburn because he felt that if Cam went to MSU he would just become "a rented mule".

It clearly means MSU was trying to offer money for Cam's servies. You know, as in pay rent. Cecil obviously didn't want that for his son.

To me, "rented mule" sounds like he thought an MSU scholarship wasn't worth that much and Can should be paid $100-180K
