Does the SEC need LSU more than

LSU is really risking alot over a few players
I wouldn't think LSU would get kicked out, but if they start causing problems...such as other SEC teams refusing to play them, CFP committee having to change rules, and possible retaliatory lawsuits against the SEC, I could definitely see them getting booted.
The sport is chaotic enough right now, and we just saw this BS with Texas Tech. I think patience with these issues could get thin very fast

The SEC does not need any single team. So that is a very ego driven statement. Alabama, Georiga, Texas, and UK(Basketball) are prob the most "needed" programs. And they could(not all obviously)change conferences and the SEC would be fine.

Supposedly the SEC has texts from LSU officials encouraging former college players to sue the SEC is what I’m hearing. Is it true ? I don’t know but it seems plausible.

Does the SEC need Texas and Alabama?
Because one has a former NFL player playing under a TRO and the other’s coach has already said he will take players if this new one is granted.
Or is it only LSU that will get kicked out of the conference for doing it?

Question. How many members need to vote them out for them to be expelled? All 15? Simple majority? 2/3rd's majority?

I wouldn’t be to sure about that. I doubt that “founding” members have anymore clout or say so than a newbie…say Texas, Oklahoma, or A&M…and nobody else has any sympathy or desire for the continuing LSU shite show.

Let's say it's 12. Who would more than likely vote to kick them out? My guess is Ole Miss, Miss St, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri would probably be a yes. Auburn, Florida, Tennessee likely yes? Not sure on USCe, Vandy, Kentucky, Oklahoma, uga. Kentucky could be more of a yes due to basketball and not having to deal with slimy Will Wade.
If LSU decides this is the hill they are going to die on (which seems likely at the moment) and the rest of the conferences president's decide that this is where they make a stand and try and claim some moral high ground on all this eligibility craziness, then this could get interesting. As another poster alluded to, LSU needs the SEC more than the SEC needs LSU whether LSU realizes it or not. Maybe LSU thinks they can go the way of Notre Dame and do their own thing but that would be a massive mistake on their part.

When I posted LSU was exploring going independent, I was ridiculed. Not so crazy now, is it ?
