Hogs have two top 50 recruits signed. Qualls likely to stay....Portis may also. If that happens, good luck.

Nolan's bitterness, partially justified, and the actions thereafter (Heath over Self) wiped the program out...but Nolan hadn't recruited much since 95.

Go finish building a gym with electricity and no buckets on the floor before asking more questions. Will it be the first gym in the state to have modern (non-possum driven) electricity? Hope so. Them possums get tired easy.

yea so does Missouri, and very little of it will be coming to Mizzou. MA's style may work for the fans but it isn't much for recruiting, telling kids they're gonna have to "work harder" typically doesn't appeal to them

I guess Jimmy Whitt and Ted Kapita found it more appealing than what Kimberly is offering at Mizzou

No one killed it... Nolan caught lightning in a bottle with a unique style and talent, a lot of which was home grown.

Lightning in a bottle? I was a Nolan Richardson fan when he was at Tulsa. The guy can flat coach and has an eye for talent. Remember Al Dillard? When Nolan spotted him, he was past 21 years old and working at a store in Alabama. Announcers would often joke about players having to guard him as soon as he got off the bus. Dillard was as too old and too small to get any serious attention. Right? Maybe we should hire Nolan as a recruiter.

That's all over... The rules and the game have changed to the point where arkansas is no different than any other middle of the pack SEC team.

It has nothing to do with the rules or game change. We're not great this year but we're a lot better than last year.

Nolan's belief that he could have a subpar season probably came from Houston Nutt, who did have subpar seasons and was rewarded by Broyles for it. Nolan was on a hot seat. He felt like there was going to be a never-ending series of brass rings to reach for. His outbursts in the press are probably the outbursts he had for Broyles.

Also, Andre Iguodala playing for Nolan Richardson would have been amazing.

I think it comes down to a deep seated personal dislike between Nolan and Broyles. If you want to say who killed the program... well in a way they both did.

I tip my hat to Mike Anderson, just a little while ago we looked decent but not good. He and the Razorbacks have turned things around in a big way with some wins of some solid teams. Including the formerly elusive road wins we've not had for years.
