Thank God someone finally said it. USC doesnt want to remember those two years, but damn do they remember our record last year.

whos denying that happened? when we talk about team of the decade every year must count. dont let one guy speak for the rest of us.

I'd say the list would start with USC overall... weaker conference sure but they have just been so consistently great with no blips (granted 2002 is a nice year to start on for Southern Cal)
Others on my list are
Texas
Oklahoma
OSU
Florida
LSU
you can argue about the order of those... of them i guess Texas has had the fewest really dissapointing years but OU, OSU have been in the title game multiple times (of course LSU and Florida have too and won both of their appearances)
So maybe from that list OSU goes last, OU second to last and we argue about particulars... I can see the argument Florida and LSU rank above USC because they are in a harder conference and won two title games but both had a down year or two and for that reason I'd give the nod to USC over both

If you just did from 2002 I would go USC. Hell they have won 10+ games since 2002 and been to a BCS bowl each year. I believe the only one they lost was to Texas.

It helps when you get Big Ten teams, in the Rose Bowl, to prey on.
Posted on 9/15/09 at 5:27 pm to CapstoneGrad06
Well the SEC does have the Sugar Bowl and its not like the SEC has had top Tier Teams to play.
Since 2002:
Illinois
Florida State
Oklahoma (Championship Game)
Virginia Tech
West Virginia
Notre Dame
Hawaii
Utah
(Georgia and Bama only SEC teams to lose a Sugar Bowl during that time)

You know, you bring up the fact that USC hasn't had any 5 loss seasons or whatever and how the SEC isn't all that big and bad, but the fact is when LSU had bad years UF won the National Title. When UF had bad years, LSU won the national title. Those two teams play each other. It's hard to be consistent when you face a national title contender every year at least once, and sometimes twice. It was a similar problem to what UF faced in the 90's when they had to play one of the best teams of that decade at least once every year (Yay for second chances)
Not only did they have to play them, they had to RECRUIT against them too. Not to mention recruiting against Miami. What schools west of the rockies does USC recruit against?

Crimson panther---crap conference my arse. Lowly UCLA two in a row over Tenn. Washington the bottom dweller in the PaC 10 gave LSU all they wanted. Five wins no losses in bowl last year. Come on.

i know UF and LSU are great programs. i just think its funny when sec homers try and say USC couldnt hang in the SEC. besides UF and LSU who else has been so great in the SEC. i know bama is doing great now but for most of the decade they werent. so exactly who would USC be losing too. SEC fans tell me USC would go at best 7-5 in the SEC, those are some funny arse guys

If USC was in SEC they would fare just as well as Florida/LSU/and Georgia this season.
Would they dominant year end and out, no they would not cause each year is different in SEC. Yet they would still be a 9-12 win team and they would still have a national championship.

since 2002 give it to UF with LSU 2nd with 2 NC
then usc and ohio state pretty much tied
they both pretty much dominate their conference every year

Talk to me when USC loses 5 games in a season or loses 4 including a mid-level bowl game to a shitty big ten team, in Florida. Thanks!
You lost 7 in 2000 and 6 in 2001.
Nice talking to you. Espcecially since you don't even know the record of your own team....poser.

Did the post I replied to say anything about since 2002? Even if he did, that would make him look just as stupid.

Considering he was actually talking about since 2002 till now like what the OP actually asked?
I don't think he is the one who looks stupid in this situation.

Based on your grammar, I think we know who is.
