Definitely Johnny Vaught for Ole Miss. Idk how you could argue that

Did you attend reading classes with James Brooks?

I think Tom Landry attended Texas, but he's only the second greatest coach produced by the university.
The first is obviously Russell Gaskamp, former coach of Oklahoma Pandhandle State University and now currently coach at Franklin Pierce University. The only coach probably in the history of college football to wear a batman costume on the sideline during a football game.
Idk about y'all but I think the resemblance to Christian Bale is uncanny

That's pretty funny.
And, yes, Tom Landry is the GOAT. I suppose Royal is the OU GOAT, right?

Oh, c'mon, man. It's mid-week.

Sorry for detracting tRant from the usual round of mid-week shite posting.

Unfortunately, I would think so.
I mean, at least he had a better record in that game as a coach than as a player?
He did make the rivalry's "all century team" for Oklahoma as their punter though, so to get that accolade while playing in the 40s, I'm sure he had some unprecedented bombs for kicks for that time.

IMO, you should have added Erk Russell to that list.
Played for Auburn
Was DC for UGA
Left UGA to restart Ga Southern football program as HC and built a powerhouse football team during his tenure.

Kentucky - Howard Schnellenberger? Joker Phillips is the only other coach I found.
Cholly Mac. Come on man. Charles McClendon played under Bear Bryant at Kentucky. Then went on to be the most winning coach in LSU history. Could never beat his mentor Bear Bryant.

I have never thought of this. States list is terrible for football.
I guess it would have to be Harper Davis.

Pretty good picks for Mizzou, some others I'd mention:
1. Don Faurot - his overall record at Mizzou was middling, 101-79-10, but he did win multiple conference titles. He's on here because he's an absolute legend, and because he was the creator of the Split-T offense.
Bud Wilkinson learned the Split T from Faurot. The Split T is what all option offenses are based on, be it the wishbone veer, even to a degree spread offenses with RPO's. That's why he should be on the list.
2. This one's a reach, but Bill Snyder did in fact attend Mizzou for a year before transferring to William Jewell.

I'd add Mark Dantonio.

Alabama - Bear (obviously)

Arkansas - Jimmy Johnson (the GOAT)(without question)(prove me wrong)
Both of these sting. Quite a bit in fact.
We had Bear Bryant signed to be our coach... and World War II broke out. We also let him slip out of state to go to Alabama as a player in the first place.
Johnson though, that one really smarts.
Jimmy Johnson really wanted to be the head coach at Arkansas. He was first passed over in favor of Lou Holtz but there wasn't any hard feelings. Johnson felt he got a fair shake on that one and lost to a more qualified candidate.
The next go around, however, did not end in as many pleasant feelings. Johnson interviewed for Arkansas job after Lou Holtz left and though he had done a great job in the interview. What he did not know was that Frank Broyles had agreed to hire Ken Hatfield a few days earlier and only went through giving Johnson an interview because he was a former player.
To say Johnson was... miffed... is an understatement. Much like Pete Carroll did after him (with USC) Jimmy Johnson took out his frustrations on the Hogs with an absolute beat down at the hands of his Miami team.

Bill McCartney played at Mizzou and contrary to Bill Snyder, he won a national championship at Colorado.
