Oh I'm by no means advocating putting 8 and 9 in the box. That's silly. I'm just saying if we had to pick one of those guys to neutralize, I'd pick hill.

But IMO, stacking 8 and 9 in the box is the only way you can stop Hill. Hell, even when Auburn stacked that many, Hill still gained yards.

You have protection back and Hill breaks for a big run, you can still stop him (or at least have a chance). You bring a safety to blitz and Mett picks it up, it could cost a big td.

I really think anyone will see much defense at all till it comes down to the redzone.

So regardless of where our safeties are on the field, it's a dream come true matchup for LSU, got it

Nah, it's how much you have to commit them. If you don't have to bring the safeties up to stop the run, it's no dream scenario. I personally think you can't, but if you can you'll probably win.

Btw, our fullback Hicks is just as good as Copeland IMO.

I have no doubt he is. Your offense is just as much of a nightmare to prepare for.

Between Mett/Hill/Obj/Landry that is a tough call. I think we see some other players step up as well tomorrow. Cant wait

I must have missed where you posted that, but I think it is the obvious answer. There are going to be a lot of points. Each team just needs to worry about not giving up huge TDs and forcing fg's once their other team is in the redzone.

id actually prefer if copeland wouldn't get as hyped up. he cost us multiple times last year by being over hypded and getting a retard 15 yards on us. The bama game being the worst. I do think he has cooled it some this year though and he isn't wiffing on blocks as much but that might be because neighbors is a fricking baller so copeland has to play with more control this year.

neighbors for heisman

Ya know, everyone is thinking it'll be a shootout but I'm taking the under. I honestly think both teams will be hot out of the gate and the defenses will get settled. Like a 28-27 type of thing.

he tried to make up for it for his awesome catch and run in the fourth but his stupidity on the drive cost us points. we had first and goal or something close to that and then boom 15 yards and i think that was the drive where we attempted that horrendous fake.

our defense has been good early and then shite the bed the 2nd and 3rd quarters this year. the fourth is a mixed back with tcu and auburn.

I think LSU will come out slinging it to throw UGA off and then start mixing it up. I also expect UGA to have at least one gimmicky play.

I remember seeing it and thinking that he just might have given us the game. Huge momentum swing.

I normally try to predict this, but there is just to much talent on each teams offense and not enough experience on the other side of the ball.

That's what really worries me about this game. Both teams are so even. Nothing would shock me honestly, either team winning by 20 or either team winning by 3 in double overtime. I just need tomorrow morning to hurry up and get here so I can start drinking to take the edge off.

By the time I walk in the stadium I'm sure I'll be expecting to win by 20

We pulled off trick plays against clemson and SC, both of which worked. Plus the fake punt against bama in the SECCG. I believe we're 3/3 in our last trick plays.

It's been one of my general gripes about our offense.

The other gripe (from last season) was how we failed to sustain drives in the 4th quarter and instead left to our defense to protect the lead. It happened over and over and over again last year and finally bit us in the arse in the Bama game. A lot of LSU fans blame the defense for that loss (the final drive by Bama) but I saw it as symptomatic of a season long trend of not producing on offense in the latter half of the 4th quarter.

Look at the drive summaries for most of our conference games last year (up through the Bama game) and the trend was obvious. Bama, Auburn, A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Carolina all had a shot at the end because our offense sputtered and gave them the ball back without padding the lead and putting the game out of reach. In the Ole Miss game the offense sputtered on two straight 4th quarter drives (one of them resulting in a turnover) before getting their shite together for what turned out to be the winning TD drive. Even the State game (which we won handily and Mett threw for 273 yards) was disappointing because we did jack shite on offense in the 4th quarter.

ETA: This is a new day and Mettsiah will heal all this year.

then they can load the box with the safeties.

I pray to God that they do this. Mett would kill them with the play action

when was the last time you heard of a running back rushing for 400 yards? never?

when was the last time you heard of a qb passing for 400 yards? every week? oreally?

yards do not equal points, i know.
