i think we can still rack up yards even in coverage bc odell and landry are monsters right now.

That's all well and good until you get to the redzone and can only match their 7s with 3s. It's what has been happening to the Saints this year.

No doubt. Good questions bring in a better quality of poster.

Well what's the alternative, don't pay him any attention at all?

Like I said on the Georgia rant, just keep everything in front of yall. Why let Mett burn your D for an easy PA deep ball for a td by stacking the box. Instead, let LSU drive, and force them to a FG. Then force Mett to make accurate throws instead of throwing huge bombs.

Whoever wins this game is the team that forces more fgs IMO. There are going to be a lot of yards no matter what.

The establishing the play action is going to be key in the redzone for LSU.

true but i think we are better in the redzone now. not having hill vs tcu really killed us that game. If we had played hill we would have been able to over come the bad no calls.

plus dickson being back has improved our ability to hit tight ends. Which i think we will see even more of now that landry and odb will get alot of attention

True. Maybe none of the tards have sniffed this one out yet.

If it was titled "hill gonna run for 200 on uGay!!" it'd probably have a lot different clientelle.

I can't remember the last impact TE LSU has had. Why don't y'all use them more?

Would be a dream come true if they move their safeties up.

It's a dream come true if they don't too. JC Copeland is practically a tackle lead-blocking for Hill. Give those two time to build up some momentum and it's going to be a long day for the defense. They are going to have to bring up safety help to shoot the gaps if they want to slow down the run.

Oh I'm by no means advocating putting 8 and 9 in the box. That's silly. I'm just saying if we had to pick one of those guys to neutralize, I'd pick hill.

I honestly think we can contain mett's damage. I think we should focus on hill without selling out to do so.

but yea even taking the les miles part out, the biggest key is forcing us to limit the options by causing a turnover or two

Good point. But Les' whole M.O. has always been minimizing turnovers. LSU was first in the SEC in turnover margin in 2011 and 2012. This year -- not so much but we're about even with Bama and ahead of Georgia (negative avg. turnover margin so far this year).

Sorta related, this week's SI has a feature on Ohio State where Urban Meyer admits that he got rattled and went conservative on offense after Toledo forced a turnover (it was negated by a personal foul but spooked him anyway). Easy to see Les and Cam doing the same if UGA gets a turnover or two early. Just doesn't seem likely.

That's a good point. I love this offense.

So regardless of where our safeties are on the field, it's a dream come true matchup for LSU, got it

Btw, our fullback Hicks is just as good as Copeland IMO.

I think the Richt vs Miles match up is a very underrated aspect of this game.

i believe we will start using them more. cam has said that he wants everyone involved in the passing game including full backs and tight ends. We tried to target the tightends against tcu but they weren't aggressive enough at going up for the ball. We were also missing dickson that night and he is our best pass catching threat at tight end. He got auburn for a big play last week so i bet we see more of him.

our last real impact tightend was either richard dickson or going all the way back to robert royal

d. petereson was suppose to be a baller but he turned out to be nothing more than overrated and soft

UGA needs to forget Hill and Mett. Worry about Copland. That man is pissed at UGA, and licking his chops for some Lb's to send to the ER.

What are the chances UGA kicks to OBJ? It has been game changing when teams take that chance
