UT is the flagship of Texas and has more money than anyone not named Texas A&M
We have more money than anyone not named Stanford. A&M is not in the same ballpark.

The sad fact is that both A&M and Texas have MASSIVELY underachieved given the resources both schools have to draw on. It's splitting hairs as to who has failed worse.
It's been 84 years for us ... maybe it's a sign.
BTW - CISO, A&M athletic department will easily have more money than Texas' in the next decade or two. That will be interesting to watch. The school is larger, fanatical, and not geographically constrained by being in downtown Austin. Pumping out significantly more graduates a year right now, with more than 70K students at present

Good point. In the post-Mack era, they were utterly decimated in each of their last contests against Alabama and Georgia...
True but I don't think it's even debatable that our OL and DL recruiting and development has been utter shite over the last 13 years and it started near the end of Mack's tenure. Sark has done a much better job here but the jury is still out on whether or not he can fix the cultural issues that have plagued us like a cancer for some time now.

If he was coaching a 7-on-7 team, they would've been real contenders. Instead he completely neglected OL and DL recruiting (aside from Sam Cosmi, who was a low 3-star) and ultimately tanked the program. Definitely sabotaged Sark's first season

I still have ptsd from what suh did to our ol in the '09 season. The signs were there as early as that.
I will give Mack credit for having that unit ready for Alabama. After that game I don't think any of us thought they'd hold up.
