shite I always assumed that Clemson was a better historical program than Ole Miss, but I guess not. That had us at #28 and ESPN had us at #24

Well South Carolina is down in the 60s, so there's still no question.

You better show more respect for the 1969 ACC champions.

We were a behemoth in '83, 84, 85 and had it rolling until the NCAA hammer came down.

Good thing recruits don't care about what teams did when their grandparents were in school. Clemson is a notorious underachieving football program, they like to think of themselves as one of the elite. At least most Carolina fans are reasonable in our views of ourselves; we're not historically a great football program but we're definitely moving in the right direction.

Yeah, plus the whole cheating thing, the ACC schedules Clemson has played the past four years while we were playing much tougher Independent or SEC schedules ... but no excuses, no excuses, we're getting there overall and, quite frankly, we've surpassed them in everything.

Still yet, this is one of the most fricked-up bullshite threads in the history of the SECr.

We are the older school ergo the older brother. We just happen to be less successful and are ignored by the rents.

Then our shite heal bro always has to go around bragging about how great he is and how worthless we are.

We just wanna chill in the clubhouse and this a-hole comes up flashing his abs at us.

That's so little brother of you... I love this thread. Seeing all the little bothers trying to shed their label.

Our little brother, Tulane was the 5 year old... We're the 13 year old.(too soon?)

Yeah, we hav a few adopted brothers come in. Like ulm and louisiana tech. But they know deep down that they will never get the same love from their parents.

State and auburn are at least family. A&M is family too but their little brother syndrome is the likes of adopted child.

A&M = louisiana tech...

Please provide reasoning?

Here are some facts which are competely inconsequential to the argument:

The fact that you all always have to prove yourselves to us is evidence enough. "This is OUR State" and "never losing to this team again" and "#Webelieve" and "O.M.A.H.A." and so and and so forth. It's this "HEY PAY ATTENTION TO US" attitude y'all have that is perfectly analogous to the big brother/little brother relationship.

Little brothers rub it in their big brothers faces when they succeed because of their own insecurities and their need to feel validated. Y'all do that shite about as well as anybody on a macro level.

So shut the frick up, little brother. Go ahead and tell mom, see if I give a frick.

OM has 3 BCS titles, MSU has 0. Pretty obvious who little brother is.

Because he's a little brother.

Anybody who is an older brother in real life (as I am) totally gets this.

no you weren't.

EDIT: Actually went and looked at UF's football history before Spurrier. UF doesn't claim a conference championship (let alone NC) before 1991... pretty crazy just how mediocre UF football was before SOS got there. Definitely not a national brand.

Not so sure that is true in basketball, they've been mediocre-turrible while Carolina has been full on dumpster fire for most of their time in the SEC.

Exactly. FSU and Miami were both WAY ahead of us on a national level.
84 SEC champions though.
