Hightower doesn't have the lateral speed needed after his injury. Mosely? C. Williams?

Don't have to spy him if you can break him in half.

Lots of zone coverage and a spy isn't the way you think they will proceed? Ask LSU about just running a contain..

There will be no spy. It comes down to whether or not we can beat them upfront. I think the close thing to a spy we will have is guys blitzing in front of him and not losing contain.

FIFY and fwiw look no further than LSU to see how that worked out.

It didn't work for LSU because they didn't stay in their lanes. Saban will bring pressure on the left side and TRY to make cam throw against his body.
JMO, I have no idea how to stop the guy.

UGA used Alec Ogletree as a spy...didnt work then either.
Keep the ball for minimum 7 minutes a drive adn you win.

Olgetree =/= UA linebacker.

I think if I were Saban and were to spy him it would be with Barron. It wouldn't stop Cam, but it might contain him a bit. Barron has the speed to spy from a deeper set and move up to stop rushing plays before they get too far out of hand. Also the speed allows him to recover on pass plays.

I think they will just try to contain Newton, you can't stop him totally.

I would just hate to see Lester/Lowery being responsible for the deep stuff to Adams. That is a recipe for disaster..

I have faith that Saban, given two weeks to look at tapes (yes I know you played last week) will come up with a way to slow down Newton. He will force someone else from Auburn to step up if they are to win the game.

Lowery would be a disaster, Lester can handle himself just fine.
I'm expecting a good bit of man coverage. Mental errors on maintaining zones has been the flaw in our secondary that's cost us the most this year. Auburn isn't known for their passing (save your pass efficiency stats, I've seen 'em)...and everyone knows that containing Newton and the Auburn ground game is the key.

Lester has gotten a ton of picks...but most were based on help from the play of his fellow db's. If Barron is creeping up...and offering no assistance, I don't think you will see him ball hawking quite as much.
