Arkansas

Everyone on Arkansas' schedule played a postseason game last year. That's ridiculous.

State has the toughest SEC schedule, drawing defending champ Georgia and a 10-win Kentucky, but out of conference is weak. Power 5 opponent is Arizona, who went 1-11 last year.

Probably Auburn. UGA from the East, Penn St and even WKU is an upper level G5.

Yes, but none of them are really heavyweights. Auburn has Penn St and Georgia.

Edit to add:

Oh, and let me fix that for you:

I'm not buying it. They drew Missouri and USC out of the East. That's a great draw. Cincy and BYU are not power teams.

Playing at BYU is one of the tougher games OOC that I see on anyone's schedule. Liberty is better than everyone else's third toughest OOC game.

A hard schedule, in my mind, isn't primarily dictated by who has the hardest third hardest game. It's primarily dictated by who plays teams that would be expected to beat many or most P5 teams. Most mid majors that make bowls games don't fit that category. I'm not at all sure that either BYU or Cincy are among those who do.

To say it another way:

The average SEC team that plays, say, Troy 4 times is going to go 4-0. Troy is not bad, but it's not expected for them to win. A schedule playing Troy 4 times is easier than a schedule of Penn State, and then three little sisters of the blind.

It's just part of the overall schedule that factors in. What is your order?

It's hard. I don't know. I just don't buy that Arkansas has the hardest.

Every professional ranking I have seen has Arkansas ranked as the toughest.

I think MSU's is tops, mostly because of the UGA and KY games. Throw in a road game against a Power 5 school.

I get why people are saying that. I just don't buy it.

That's part of why I have Arkansas at 9-3.

Maybe State, Auburn, Arkansas/A&M.

I'm not sure what to think of Florida, so that makes it harder to evaluate A&M and LSU.

LSU embarrassed them about five years ago, but this year's BYU is much better than the one LSU played.

I have LSU's slightly ahead of A&M's, only because I think UT will be better than South Carolina, but it is splitting hairs.
