I have been saying LSU, op is saying UT, but I will say teams ranked in the preseason don't mean shite

The teams TENN plays in that 5 game stretch are gonna be good this year..... Those 5 games in A row are brutal for any team............... In TENN;s case replace Bama with LSU and even Bama would have A struggle with that 5 game stretch............

oh no doubt, I mean we can keep debating, but as of right now, all things considered, LSU's looks a little tougher overall, but we really don't know. I mean last year FSU was preseason top 10 and Bama's schedule looked solid, but did not end up that way. I see the brutal stretch you are talking about but frankly I think Auburn will struggle protecting Stidham and is over rated. UGA sure did lose a lot starters. State has a new coach. My point is that we really don't know who is who until we see some games.

LSU plays three teams in a row that have open dates the week before. Mississippi State Alabama (LSU has an open date before Bama) Arkansas

Gumps should thank us for softening up/beating down the corndogs before they have to play.

While I agree to A point... The basic subject of my thread is that TENN plays 5 games in A row that other teams don't.... If LSU played the same 5 teams in A ROW plus its other games it would be the toughest schedule in history... Games being played does matter , but IMO TENN has a 5 game stretch that is playing probably all teams ranked in the top 30...........

I think TENN has a better shot at beating WVA than LSU does of beating Miami

is this a reverse jinx prediction???

and I think you are wrong

LSU vs Miami looks like a true toss-up, while W VA will be a clear favorite over Tenn - just checked

Miami favored by 3 and W VA favored by 10 - LINK /

I honestly don't know what triggered him. Is it not ok to concede a point in a discussion these days? Or I guess you must've pissed him off in another thread.

I have to go UT. Facing UGA, Auburn, and Bama is ridiculous. South Carolina is going to get a free win. UT will be decimated by the time the get done with that run.

this is true, and I do think that this is a critical year for the Vols, because I think they are dangerously close to going the way of Ole Miss and Minnesota before them, a "once great" team that has fallen off the map

Vols are not there YET, but if Pruitt does not do well, I am not sure they can recover from another bad hire

they need to win 6 this year (will be tough)

but I do not believe they will have nearly enough for the 1st game

hope I am wrong

*eta - not calling Ole Miss "great"; but they were certainly a team to be reckoned with for SEC titles in the late 50's early 60's

Miss State, Texas A&M, Arkansas...heck the worst team in the Division Ole Miss is still on par with West Virginia.

Sept. 29 OLE MISS
Oct. 6 at Florida
Oct. 13 GEORGIA
Oct. 20 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Nov. 3 ALABAMA
Nov. 10 at Arkansas

Sept. 22 Florida * Knoxville, Tenn.
Sept. 29 at Georgia * Athens, Ga.
Oct. 13 at Auburn * Auburn, Ala.
Oct. 20 Alabama * Knoxville, Tenn.
Oct. 27 at South Carolina * Columbia, S.C.

So?? 6 tough games instead of 5..unless you think SC is more difficult than playing Ark and Ole Miss

Well LSU doesn't have Troy this year. So that helps them.

Thank God Georgia didn't have Nicholls State again last year and thank God y'all got that tough schedule this year!
