Florida LB core is better

Florida Secondary is better IMO...although both are very close

Florida get the edge on the oline

Dline is fairly even...we have more depth

Now it'd be interesting if you asked who had the harder hitters, but as far as defense, its UF this year. I will now go drown myself in a swamp.

Chavis doesn't have the best track record against Florida. He's had 50+ hung on him the past two times he coached against them. It will be interesting to see how he does against the Gators with a more talented D than he had at TN the past few years.

30 points is >50? Nice

Also, I love how Brandon James and Dustin Doe scoring in 2007 counts against Chavis in your mind.

My bad, 50 was from the year before. The 30 last year was just an abomination of a game by TN. FL easily could have hung 50. They moved the ball at will against us. That's beside the point though. My point was that since Chavis has gone against Urban he has had no where near the talent on the field that he will have Saturday. As a TN fan that watched Chavis led D's through his career at TN, it will be interesting to see the difference in the way he is able to attack Urban's offense.

Florida by a hair but they may be a bit bored since they have not faced a really good offense as of yet..but then again, LSU with all that speed and talent on offense hasn't really scared anyone either....but if it decides to wake up-Florida's defense could be in for a surprise!!

I don't know man, I thought D played very well last year against UF. The only reason they got 30 points was on horrible field position given by the offense and lapses in the special teams. Not to mention, held UF to their lowest offensive output all year (240-something yards). Maybe if we had an offense, it would have been lower than 30 points...
