Digital starter. That was the term I was looking for. They have a basic cable which is basically just the major networks and pbs and one or two random channels, but no one gets that.

It's not going to be in a sports package inside the SEC footprint. That was one of the demands ESPN had in negotiations. Outside of the footprint is different, but they wanted it on as basic of package as you could get inside the footprint. Often times that was one or two tiers from the lowest, but none were sports pack that I've seen. I doubt Cox is any different inside the footprint and they're probably just trying to rope you into paying more for something you don't need (or they're mixed up with the inside/outside footprint).

Anyone who lives in an SEC state is going to get the SEC Network on a basic level of cable, and it's going to be included in the cost. No need to purchase a "sports pack".

Yeah that's why I said pretty much the basic because I've never heard of anyone having their true basic package.

I think Directv will carry it on the Choice package or higher packages.

Well Charter hasn't signed yet but you're probably going to have to pay more for it since you aren't in an SEC state

Called Direct today to see, but lady couldn't give me an answer. I'm guessing since I get the Big 10 channel and some other sports shite I don't watch, the SEC should be included in my package. She said to call back as the 14th gets closer.
