SC in my opinion. Miami doesnt have a ranked win. you cant lose to Syracuse and GA Tech and make it

The loss at home to Kentucky at home is a beyond bad loss.
Ole Miss Losing to KY at home is worse than SC losing to Ole Miss at home.
They lost to LSU and Bama by a total of 5 points.

I mean you can, but you have to also win some games against teams that are good. You can't lose road games to Syracuse and Georgia Tech and have nothing in the win column to show people.
And that doesn't even get into the fact that they played all of their other average to bad opponents close most of the season.
38-34 vs Virginia Tech
39-38 @ Cal
52-45 @ Louisville
53-31 vs Duke (32-31 in the 4th qtr)
42-14 vs Wake Forest (20-14 with 8 mins left in the 4th qtr)
They lost 2 of them, had 5 close games on top of that and didn't beat a single team in the Top 25.

but SCar has much better losses than both of those teams
Well, except for SC's 24 point loss to Ole Miss which is 11 more than Ole Miss' combined losses on the season.

And both Va Tech and Cal the officials saved them. The Va Tech was particularly bad.

SMU if they lose to Clemson (Clemson gets auto-bid as ACCC)
Bama if SMU wins
This, right here.

Neither does Indiana. In fact, they played only two teams with a winning record but since they went 1-1 in those games they are comfortably in.

SC has a blowout loss to Ole Miss.
Alabama has a blowout loss to terrible-arse OU. (This should immediately disqualify them)
Ole Miss has no blowout losses and is 13 points shy of being undefeated.
Now do wins.

It doesn't matter, it'll be some team that really doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs and the entire thing just highlights how stupid it was to have a 12 team playoff.
I hope we can all soon learn this lesson and stop fricking up the good things the sport had going.

It won't be Ole Miss.
The Kentucky loss destroyed their season.

If SMU keeps it close, I think they stay in. Their SOS is so bad, though, that a bad loss (by point spread) is something that will break their chances (no good wins to offset it).
SMU, IMHO, doesn't HAVE to win - but I do think they need to keep it close.
Leaving them out entirely due to a loss is punishing a team for playing in the conference championship game (which you shouldn't do). Leaving them out due to getting blown out and having an abysmal SOS and I will at least get their logic.
That being said, I think that's the scenario the playoff committee is hoping for, so that SMU takes slot 12 with a narrow loss (Clemson getting the ACC's autobid) and then they don't have to choose between the three.

Alabama is 4-1 against teams with a winning record, 5-2 against teams .500 and below.
Ole Miss is 3-2 against teams with a winning record, 6-1 against teams .500 and below
USC is 3-3 against teams with a winning record, undefeated against teams .500 and below.

Were so bad, anyone losing to us should be a disqualified lol

No, I don't agree. Losing to Kentucky (this year) by any amount is much worse. SCar beat UK by 25. OM was their only SEC win this season. That is far far worse.

It could be worse, it could have been a loss to Kentucky. But no serious playoff contender would ever lose to a team like that.

I would typically agree with you 100%, but the fact Indiana got blown out in their only game against a team playing over .500 and is still in, yeah, this committee is dumb and just looks at the L column.

If I was picking I would choose Bama but I think the committee will choose Miami.

So SC and OM fans should send the committee death threats so we are on the same standing as Bama. Got it.
