Wonder if Bama will get a free pass on holding calls... again. I heard it helps to be able to hold at will.

I'm not big on whining about calls, but the play last weekend when G-Mac threw the pick in the endzone, whoever was the RB absolutley jumped onto the back of a blitzing LB and tackled him.

A flag did not come out, which may have been due to the pick, but that was one of the most blatant holds I have seen in a while.

Maybe I am wrong, so if anybody has video of that play feel free to post it.

Damn 2 pages already and Dick Burleson hasn't posted yet

But to answer the OP: I'd say Bama will get the calls this weekend after the swrew job we got at Ark.

You just need to field a competitive team and you won't have to worry about the refs. Lol @ 9 yards of offense in the 4th quarter.

I don't remember any of this ref bullshite when Auburn and LSU beat Bama 6 & 5 years in a row, respectively.

So quit crying. Y'all act like a bunch of girls.

Thats because you teams were so terrible the refs couldnt even save you.

We got screwed by the Big 10 officials in our own house (remember the Dre Kirpatrick fumble recovery).

We had more penalties than Arkansas @ Arkansas and there were some blatant miscues (how about that review for the 1st down).

We didn't start threads about the refs in Hog town, and if the refs do seem bias towards Alabama vs. UF just realize it only makes up for the hose job UF got on Arkansas last year.

does anyone know what officiating crew will be working the game?

Slive assigned the Marc Curles crew to the game, and said something about, "Making up for last year," whatever that means. Probably means "frick Florida over in any way you can."

Slive took care of all of that. They had a meeting in the Spring and left with a group hug. All is good!

Alabama because they're playing at home. Have you noticed that pretty much all the officiating controversies in the SEC happens to be on calls favoring the home team? It's not a Florida or Alabama issue. It's more along the lines of "I don't want to face an angry mob after the game".

Dear God... LSU got away with just as many as 'Bama did in the game last year.

-Smelley's catch in bounds which he was ruled out on the opening drive, though it was not reviewed because "the replay booth" was down.

-On the kickoff that led to the safety, and LSU defender kicked the ball around the 5, yet it was placed at the 1.

-The intentional grounding call was ridiculous because McElroy's intended target was Ingram, who was in the direct path of the ball, and as he chunked it he got hit.

-Even when LSU scored one of their TDs, Danielson noted they got away with holding on that one.

If the REC is paying the refs, they need to up the wager cause they're doing a crappy job. But time's are tough these days and everyone needs more cash.
