In case you forgot, half the state didn't. Including my ancestors. The governor and people voted for secession. The state legislature petitioned Lincoln for aid and Federal troops against the will of their constituents.

Most Kentuckians empathized with the South but wanted to avoid war and keep the union. We were a complicated state during the war.

It’s absolutely the case. Y’all don’t even know Texas but believe days before UT even gets invited we flood your board to post about kicking out a charter member? Everything else has mostly been reactionary from both sides. But y’all been some real hoes in all this too. Those are Aggie alts

Whaaaaaaaa!!! He did horns down!

So Sam Ehlinger was a real QB. GTFO. I’m I die hard OU fan but stop with that. I love mark stoops and where UK is headed. Sure the SEC will drub UT for a couple years. But they are gonna be fine. I hate them with the passion you’ll never understand. But pump the breaks as a UK fan.

If we get more folks like you, then I'm definitely excited to see where this goes. Not exactly sure why so many Texas fans are trying to stir the pot and I certainly hope this isn't a representation of what a majority of your fanbase is like in person. If you are, we'll still likely share our tailgating wares with you all, just don't be surprised if you get the nasty shite like the hotdog that fell on the ground and diet sprite.

I think the "arrogance" you see with the Texas fans here is more due to just excitement to be out of the BIG 12...Nobody wanted to stay 10 years ago. It was a sham and everyone knew it would be a disaster for Texas. We went from recruiting classes like Bama, USC, Ohio State, etc to recruiting like Tech, Oklahoma State and others overnight..It destroyed our Football program..So, now we have renewed hope we can turn the Titanic around being in a much better conference.

Not saying we are going to come in and wreck shop on the SEC, but I think eventually we will be back to being at least a respectable football program..

We have had 10 years of mediocrity and some of them really terrible years with Charlie Strong as the head coach. Only bright spot I can think of in the past 10 years was beating Georgia. So, yeah, we are a little too excited to be here and running our mouths too much...It's surreal actually and a dream of most Texas football fans to be in the SEC. A dream we never thought would happen because the BIG wigs at Texas were looking at other conferences besides the SEC always..

I wish there was a bot on here like there is on reddit so I can remind you of this post. Ehrlinger may have been a good QB, but what exactly did they accomplish with him at Texas? Furthermore, nobody wants to take me up on bets for some reason. What do you feel like betting? I'm willing to throw out $100 to say that Kentucky has a better record than Texas does this season, against higher quality opponents. By the way, welcome to the shite show

Also... it's spelled "brakes".

Whoops on the brakes. 750 MLs in today. Ehlinger is garbage. That was meant to be a satirical question. Happy to be here. I wouldn’t bet $1 on that shite show in Austin. I hope y’all do have a better record for sure. I hope they lose every fame the ever play. But, I do think they are about to wake up. Hope I’m wrong

We certainly look forward the opportunity to welcome you all. I have no doubt Oklahoma will crush us most matchups, but we are always excited to have new fans in the bunch that aren't a bunch of dbags. In all seriousness, if you ever end up making it out to Lexington, expect a pretty welcoming environment. Our fans can be pretty fricking stupid, but we know how to party and we love sharing our passions with new friends

As far as Texas is concerned, they have a bunch of question marks. Either way, knowing their track record, Sark won't have too long to turn the ship around. Then it's back to the coaching carousel and falling even futher into obscurity.

Wait, what? Someone needs to understand history.

Real history, not the rewritten political history we enjoy today.

I plan on it. After that absolute beating we took by LSU in the semifinal, I had bad memories so I avoided the board for a while.

That game was set up to be a disaster for us. It was a great offense against a poor defense. Specifically LSU was able to torch our undersized DB’s.

Just as importantly, unlike previous years we didn’t have a QB who could play in a shootout.

When you have 5’9” “Dookie” Radley-Hiles trying to cover the LSU receivers, we didn’t have much of a shot. Grinch and Riley have done a good job since that game of recruiting bigger and faster DB’s. We will have to be be much more physical here than in the Big 12 and that starts with the DL and goes through the linebackers and secondary. I think we’re on the right track and it will be good to see how this season plays out. The year before Grinch got here we were 114th in overall defense. At the end of last season, we finished 29th. This is the year the defense has to be top 10 for us to compete. It will do wonders for recruiting if we can be a top 10 defense and be coming into this conference hopefully in 2022. I’m ready for football fellas (and ladies)
