They'd like to have Bielema

But Bielema doesn't want to take a step down

Too fat to take a step up either

Then you will have two let downs this Labor Day weekend.

Quit while you are ahead.

How about Larry Fedora and he could bring Chiz along with him.

Not sure if joking, but I think that would be two great hires.

Chiz is the CLK of DCs, not a solid HC but a terrific coordinator

I don't think Herman would come here. We wont offer enough for someone with 2 years experience.

Jimbo probably wont come either since we missed that boat last year.

so since those 2 are completely off the table:
Lane Kiffin: he has been resurrected by Saban, he can recruit lights out, our qb play would no longer suck. Has he matured enough into being a head coach? who knows. He might be ok here if he learned from the USC disaster.

I think Merlins would have been on the list last year but he lost to USA so he is probably dead in the water.

However, we probably follow the saban/miles formula and roll the dice again on someone at 2nd rate school in their state.

so that brings us to Mike Gundy, he is a better version of miles and has taken OSU further than he could.

really outside of Herman the pickens look to be slim as far as pretty good bets.

Larry wouldn't be a bad hire.

I wouldn't throw a shite fit over Aranada but i doubt we go with someone that has zero head coaching experience.

Its too bad les couldn't hang on long enough to let Frank Wilson get some time as HC

I feel like Herman will puss out and go to Texas where it will be easier to win the conference.

There was a really good chance he was coming to South Carolina until we lost to the Citadel and it scared him away

You can't blame him for waiting for a better job.

I have opened up to him. He recruits lights out, he brings excitement, and qb play would be good. The question mark is can he run the program. He couldn't at USC.
I think he has learned from this because Kiff is pretty smart.

He does have a huge friend and supporter currently on the LSU staff in Bebe. If we were to get Kiffin that would likely mean our D staff remains intacted. BeBe would stay for sure, and he would probably be able to get Kiff to keep Raymond and Aranda. This could work nicely because then Kiff just has to worry about our o.

My personal preference would be Larry Fedorra (SP???). I like the job he is doing with UNC. I think given a boat load of talent and the dude would win big.

We better hurry!! Coach Herman is going to be a very rich man next season. Between LSU, USC, possibly Texas and Texas AM his agents mouth is watering. If Aleva has any sense he needs to be working on this now.

I know it sucks, but all of you guys... The traditionally good west teams... Should wait until after saban retires to hire new coaches.

It will be hard to get really good coaches to come and compete in the same division.

Yes and there is a strong possibility UH just brings him 6 million and he stays.
Strong chance all may be looking for a coach but not all. I suspect Aggies and LSU will have lots of discontent but both have political/money issues which might require total meltdowns to justify. Similar w Texas. USC has fairly easy schedule and will win too many games.
UH has lots of money and on the rise. If Big 12 lets them in, Herman can probably get biggest money and wait for THE JOB, not just a "better Job",
