This Auburn fan cheers for Georgia over Bama every time. Only thing that would change that would be if there were some weird way that a Bama win over UGA would have a direct positive effect on Auburn.

It -is- understood on a national scale that this is very easily argued as the most heated rivalry in college football or sports period... I think Bama fans like to keep the UT hate alive, and maybe sometimes posture a little because it's fashionable to hate UT more.
I realize that's not the common belief of Bama fans on this board, but I can guarantee you the Bama/Boog rivalry is more intense.
This is true, but Alabama fans grow up with Auburn fans, and have friends, family, and even spouses that pull for the wrong team. This makes the IB rivalry more important, but as far as hatred goes, I think it's easier to hate the faceless orange hillbillies of the north.

I think the living with and around people that are Auburn fans is definitely what gives it the unique edge in college football as the best rivalry.
It takes the duality of human nature and holds a mirror up 365 days a year. You look in the mirror and you decide, "I'm a guy that pulls for Auburn when they don't play Alabama," or "I want them to die."
It forces you to make a decision to hate or to repress the hate with an attempt to be kind... until game time. On that special day, even the "nice" ones lose to their internal struggle.
Why? Because you know deep down if your red headed cousin that's an Auburn fan wins, you're gonna know what he's thinking every time you have to see him... maybe it's not the cousin, but a co-worker.. maybe a boss... maybe even a best friend.
I choose to deny my impulse for finding a way to think civil towards them. It makes for way less stress all year. It makes the wins WAY sweeter because the losses suck that much worse.

FSU/UGA....I'd prefer a meteor to hit, but I'd lean towards UGA if that doesnt work out

If I have to pick one, I pick AU. I would be happy if Tennessee never won another football game for the rest of eternity.
The only time I would ever want Tenn to beat AU is if it took AU out of contention for a title of some sort and didnt also help them with a quest for a title of some sort for themselves. And in this scenario, I would probably try to drink until I passed out before the game anyway because either way, when I wake up with a fricking hangover from hell, hearing who won will feel worse than the hangover.
