We would have had to have a "cat plus four lives" based on bama math if that was true.

Zinger. You should probably stick to your sick flames though. They're really burning us up.

the Oregon people are delighted

Bama are psychologically wounded, but not out.
Bama is picked to be SECw champ next year by the media already.
Not AUbie. Aubie is not in the conversation.

So... this lasts one year, unless LSU grabs the SECw from Bama, in which case, maybe it lasts a few years.

as an alabama fan, i'm actually thrilled for my au graduate friends....i'm thinking back-to-back national championships & back-to-back heisman winners makes the entire state look like the premiere place to play/be a fan of college football.

enjoy it aubs....

In the end, I suspect it will hurt Auburn fans the most. Reaching the pinnacle, to only have it tainted in the end, when it's all over.

Maybe this time none of their players will murder anybody.

Oregon fans are over it already because

football ain't all that in Eugene. i mean afterall, its just so violent.
they didn't really expect to win to start with so gettin' close is like way cool.

You've obviously never been to Eugene. Besides, who are you to talk. The majority of the SEC doesn't even claim you. Deep down, Arkansas is really just a basketball school.

That being said, most of the Oregon fans were thrilled just to be able to make it to the National Championship. We felt like we got the royal screw job in 2001 (thanks Nebraska), so just making it was a major stepping stone for the program. Like I said in previous posts, Auburn was clearly the better team that day. I was thrilled that we were in a position to win. We will rebound and will be back. Go Ducks!

This is why Auburn fans are so pathetic. Alabama fans don't give a frick about Auburn winning. Maybe if Mike Shula were still the coach and we were 4-7 this year it would sting. But personally i don't give a frick. You cheated to do it anyway, flag on the play...this one's coming back folks.

Why should Alabama fans be hurt? Too many of you act as if Auburn has arrived or something. Fact is Auburn got really lucky with Cam Newton blowing up. Now that he is gone it'll be another 53 years before Auburn wins another title.

That's the point. In many ways, if only for a brief moment, Auburn did arrive. For one night Auburn was finally able to accomplish what everyone thought was impossible. They climbed the mountain, through unthinkable turmoil, a seemingly impossible path, against all odds, with everyone against them, on the biggest stage in college football. They hoisted the crystal.

They were finally at the top of the mountain so to speak, all through all that, what do Auburn fans choose to do during that brief moment of euphoria?

"LOOK WHAT WE DID ALABAMA FANS! LOOK WHAT WE DID"

:pats head: Good job little sister, i'm proud of you. Now run along. fricking pathetic

So you're the missing heir to the Massengill fortune.
