LSU’s resume doesn’t touch that. Sorry.

I know LSU gets you in your feels, in all sports, but overall records don't equal prestige.

"Yale and Harvard are in the top 10 for most wins of all-time, so that means they're also two of the most prestigious programs in all of college football!!!"

Not when placed in context with the rest of the historical dominance. All time wins, CWS appearances, national championships, national runner-up finishes, First Team All Americans, etc.

I'm sure I abused your previous username, too.

I'm sure Alabama will get back to Omaha...some day.

Yeah? What does that have to do with LSU being no higher than 3rd on the “most prestigious” list (very generous), and having a losing head to head record vs big bad daddy bammer?

If the schollies were even Bama would have even a bigger lead. The lotto schollies are one issue lsu fans will NEVER talk about, ever. They know it gives them a huge advantage over Bama. Hell, bertman even said himself with them he never gets lsu baseball where it got. You put all instate players on lotto and use your 11.7 for out of state. Bama plays ONLY with 11.7.

What's also ironic, or coincidental, is that once all the state's besides Alabama got lotteries, they got good. Hmmmm. How was arkie and south Carolina's programs before lotteries? The lsu dominance over the league also slowed down dramatically.

As far as dogpiling, yea, when a bunch of walk ons, paying for most of their expenses beat a team loaded with full scholarshipped all Americans, yes, you dogpile. Lsu should NEVER EVER lose to Bama or auburn in the current setup. As should no one else in the sec.

Alabama hasn't been to Omaha this MILLENNIUM

My Lord, if there was ever a thread that Gumps should stay away from.

Michigan is a more prestigious football program than Alabama.

Start your own thread if you're so insecure about the joke that is Alabama baseball.

Insecure in Winter should be your next alter

You keep bringing up all time records, but that is one tiny, minuscule part of the equation.

Texas leads in the following categories:

Wins
Win percentage (leads nation)
CWS Appearances (leads nation)
Individual CWS games won (leads nation)
NCAA Tournament games won (leads nation)
NCAA Tournament appearances (leads nation)
First Team All Americans
Hall of Famers

Does LSU lead in any category over Texas?

Head-to-head national titles, national titles since I've been alive and recruiting.

Maybe Alabama will make it to Omaha next millennium.

Until then, you'll just have to settle for your football team being the #2 most prestigious program behind Michigan.

This thread has been settled. LSU won a championship over Texas over a decade ago, has a more recent championship, and has a better recruiting class, apparently.

You might as well just quit. LSU is clearly more prestigious.

Cheers back at you. That was a great tournament and a great final series, and there is no shame losing to that LSU team in 2009 - they were incredible!

As Augie said after the final out "we didn't lose it; the better team won this series"

I know baseball season is tough for you.

Your favorite pro team has choked the past decade and your favorite college team has been a joke since 2000.

Football season will be back soon, until then, just sit behind Michigan and watch the big boys play.
