The only reason anyone care is because all the crap they talked and then swore there was nothing to come of it and now he's suspended.
As far as cheating, it would matter no matter the sport because it makes the schools look bad.

One of the cleaner programs, yes. Funny that two of the most broadly successful athletic departments in the conference are also two of the cleanest.
