There's your answer. USCe.
Little different.
This describes both Spurrier and Saban. In fact, Spurrier was at UF longer, shouldn't they hate him more?
Please tell me what the difference is, besides "One is USCe and the other is Bama." That doesn't really explain it at all.

USC is not a power in the SEC...never has been. Even now that they are a "favorite" to win the East, they are still not one of the sexy teams in the SEC. Hell, despite what USC is expecting this season, Florida and Georgia are still getting more pub this offseason than USC.
The Big6 in the SEC hasn't changed...LSU, Bama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Tenn have and probably always will be the "sexy" teams in this league and will always be consistently a step above the rest IMO.
LSU has always looked at Bama as one of our most hated teams (due to Bama's historical success). USC has never even been a blip on the radar to Florida until recently.
(truly no offense meant to USC, they're a fine program now, but reality is what it is).
If you want a closer comparison to Saban-LSU-Bama, try Spurrier going Florida-NFL-Georgia. It's a closer analogy than USC-Spurrier.

Alright.
Still, you have to admit it's kind of funny from our perspective. Not a single Bama poster has put LSU in their top 3 and nearly all LSU posters have put Bama up there.
ETA: I saw your edit.

My only point would be: what's so surprising about that?
1. LSU doesn't have a true rival, and it has rotated among the years (in the minds of LSU fans) from Florida-Auburn-Bama...and is currently Bama.
2. Bama certainly has huge rivals in Auburn and Tennessee (certainly bigger games for some/most Alabama fans than LSU-Bama)
3. Nick Saban used to coach at LSU
Again, is it any surprise that LSU fans seem to have more of an interest level (or hate or whatever one wants to call it) in Bama than vice versa? Seems to me like the above reasons make it a given (and completely natural).

Actually that's wrong. Out of the 19 LSU posts in this thread (some albeit from the same poster), only half listed Alabama in their top 3.
Where in TF do you get "nearly all" from ??????
And, while we are on the subject - how in God's name does a 20 post thread on a random internet message board become a reliable demographic random sample of an entire large state university fan base with millions of alumni and fans around the world ???????????
Jesus Christ, talking about exaggeration and paranoia. Unbelievable........
And now, I've changed my vote. I didn't have Alabama on my radar, but now they're #1.
Happy now ???????????????????
