Why are you flying another programs colors like a dipshit? Fly your own colors or go home.

You have a lot to learn about internet message boards
Funny thing is I can change my team every week
This weeks team has some meaning for the upcoming future
As a certain university became involved in recruiting an area they were not familiar with thanks to a program we are familiar with
I have news for certain others programs
Their free reign is now over and there will be consequences if they feel like stepping outside of the rules
Hopefully you are able to get the jist of this beacause it is actually going to be beneficial for OU

You have been on tRant over a year now, you should know the subtleties by now
You can sport another's colors if you are an alter
You can sport another's colors if you want to piss off a rival
You can sport another's colors if you are an LSU fan so it looks like they have fewer posters
You can sport another's colors if tRant does not support your own
Just some of the reasons and there are plenty more. If you really are a Sooner and not just another alter keep in mind this is an SEC board and you are the guest. If this does not sit well go back to an OU or B12 board. Our ways are not like the other P5's and we like it that way.

I'll give you the Big 8 being at its best when OU wasn't a part of it in the late 80s and 90s, plus first three years of the Big XII. Colorado, Kansas State, Nebraska were kicking arse and Texas A&M, Texas were doing very well in the SWC and through the first three years of the Big XII.
But to say OU was overrated before Stoops is quite a stretch. While Big 8 competition was weak mostly with the exception of Nebraska and Colorado, OU still dominated whoever they faced. Wilkinson and Switzer are easily Top 10 coaches of all time.
National Chanpionship caliber teams in 1949, 1950, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1985, 1987; and of those 12 resulted in 6 titles.

So make a league with USC, Alabama, ND, Ok, Neb, Mich, OSU, and Texas. Throw in the nouve riche of UF, FSU, Miami, and LSU, and be done with it.
You have a strong 12 team, 2 div super conference to play for the national title each year.
Viewrship would be out the wazzou for every game. That would be the master's division that plays for the national title. The lower tier of Power 5 can join up with the G5 and play for their own junior league title with a playoff.

And then the bottom two finishers in the power conference would fall down and be replaced by the two teams that competed for the "junior league " title
