honestly think their total exclusion from the conversation compared to Alabama/Carolina is the biggest "hose job" of the entire thing. It is wild that all they had to do was not lose at home to a team that went 1-8 vs FBS teams and they are an absolute lock with a home playoff game and.........they did.

They’ve just accepted WAOM so much that they are only half heartedly fighting it.

I need that type of downtrodden morale to continue in their fanbase.

I think OM got screwed the most. Again I think their best win was better than Bams in that they won by 18 over UGA and not 7. Bama fans tell me worse loss doesnt matter, so throw out UK vs OU by 21 (which I think are pretty damn equal)

but If you took SC and Bama and you swapped the names and it was Carolina who just lost by 21 at OU 11 days ago, and Bama who lost to Carolina away by 2 points 7 weeks ago before going on a 6 game win streak, winning 4 ranked games a long the way, I promise you Bama would have still gotten in. The committee was going to find a way to justify it

The computers would be a better option then I guess, right?

The composite of computer polls (Masseyratings.com) has Bama #9, South Carolina #11, and Ole Miss #12. Miami is #13.

USC lost to Alabama. So you want to put USC in front of a team they lost to?

Yes. Easily. A loss to Alabama is a much better loss than a loss to Vandy or OU. shite LSU beat Ole Miss and USC.....by the who beat who logic a really average LSU team belongs in the playoff over either...and they dont.

I still think it'll be South Carolina.

Ole Miss has no chance.

Baylor is clearly playing the best football in America at this point in time:

@ Texas Tech 59-35 W
vs. Okie St 38-28 W
vs. TCU 37-34 W
@ West Virginia 49-35 W. First win ever by BU @ WVU
@ Houston W 20-10
vs Kansas 45-17 W. This Kansas team had wrecked shite from sea to shining sea the previous 3 weeks, vanquishing Iowa State, BYU, and Colorado. No such luck vs Baylor.

It's clear Baylor is playing the best football in America and should be in the playoff talks.

USCe lost to both Ole Miss and Alabama. They all had the same record. On what planet does USCe deserve to be ranked ahead of either?

The narrative from people who hate Alabama... and that's pretty much it.

That and talking heads who just want drama. The same ones saying South Carolina should have gotten in based on how they ended the season would be saying Alabama should have gotten in based on h2h if South Carolina had gotten picked.

The talking heads drumming this up aren't interested in talking football; they're just trying to generate listens/views/clicks.

You're only demonstrating why the transitive property is dumb.

Top wins for each team.

Alabama:
#5, #14, #19

USC:
#17, #19

We can keep going down the wins using another metric, but overall Alabama will stay 1 ahead or even.

Now for losses:

Alabama:
#7 Tennessee

USC:
#11 Alabama
#13 Ole Miss

So even on the losses it starts off with USC having a worse loss. USC has the better "middle" loss because they lost to Alabama and Ole Miss.

In what way and by what metric should USC be ranked ahead?

Alabama would be ranked #2 without those losses.
