Which was the bigger crash for LSU fans?

I hate to kick a tiger while it’s down (fact check: no I don’t)… but which was the worse denouncement this year?
Door number 1:
(1) Sept. 2021: “We goin to da ship, UCLA piece of cake, gonna be undefeated going into Alabama game, all dat talent, Heisman, 2019, if RB, QB, Ol, LB, Secondary, TE improve, could be ‘ship,” …
…and then… train wreck in California, players opting out right and left, players jumping ship like rats, only 39 scholarship players left on roster, coach becomes famous for after-sex photos and attack in fishing camp, coach fired mid season lose bowl, losing season, new Coach must complete clean out of locker room culture, long hard slog to rebuild program in offing,
Or door number 2:
(2) Jan, 2022: “We ridin’, yahoo, LSU basketball 12-0, gonna cake walk to conference championship, best in SEC lock, final four here we come, “da gangsta general should be extended,”
…and then…
Busted by conference schedule to mid-pack, NCAA NOA, serious 7 level 1 LOIC allegations, coach fired ignominiously, possible program wrecking sanctions, fans on Tr demanding school defy the “powerless” NCAA and just…. What? …play with themselves?
Tigers, we feel your pain… but talking about it, admitting you have a problem (Houston), is the first step to recovery. So… which expectation crash was worse? Door # 1, or door # 2?
By the way…it will eventually be ok. Look at Alabama post sanctions.

For me it was the overthrow that Johnson made to the freshman tied in we have In the fourth quarter on the last drive against bama.
