Which timeout was worse? UF or LSUs?

LSU did a run play at the end of the game and used its last time out. Therefore, not being able to stop the clock after the next play to kick the field goal.
Cade York look confused on the original field goal attempt and probably would have missed, but Florida ended up calling a time out giving him time to get prepared

I cant fault UFs TO when they still had a chance to tie the game at the end.

I think o probably knew Mullen was going to use a timeout anyway
He was going to ice LSU kicker at a minimum

Florida took the timeout before York or the special teams unit even started getting ready. How exactly did he look confused in the “original attempt”?

LSU was lined up and ready with 20+ seconds left. That is plenty of time to get a kicker on the field and ready. LSU and Florida both made the right call. Had Florida not called a timeout, LSU would've kicked with less than 10 seconds left.
The "LSU didn't have time to kick" talking point is a false narrative.

No, they were on the field and ready.

If LSU misses FG, UF gets ball with 2 timeouts on the 40. Or he makes FG and Trask gets a chance to tie. That’s why he called a TO.

No they weren’t. They were running on when the timeout was called. Kellen saved them from a shite show attempt.

There is plenty to be criticized with Coach O's terrible clock management decisions this season. But with that particular moment, I have no doubt that LSU could have been lined up, snapped the ball, and kicked the field goal with the time running off the clock - all within 20 seconds.

I think you're wrong. After the timeout there was 27 seconds on the clock. The OP is correct, that there was chaos going on before the TO was called. People running all over the field, the FG team trying to ge ton the field and the offense trying to get off.
Keep in mind that since LSU was making substitutions, Florida could have slowed everything down by making substitutions, too and making the snap, hold and kick get rushed. The TO by Mullens was a serious error, imo.
All that said.....all we can do is go off what we definitely know. We know there was a TO. We know the LSU kicker got his FG. We know the Florida kicker missed his FG. The timeout did not help Florida and may very well have cost them the game.
Don't call timeout and go to OT would have been the correct call to make. But hindsight is always 20/20.
