Did you just say OU has 16 NC and Texas has 9? Put down the crack pipe you retard. If you're gonna include fake Championships go ahead and add 2 more to A&Ms total.

Austin's nice but texass's campus has become a commuter school type campus, it sucks. It's only redemption is that it's blocks from 6th street.

Actually, that's not redemptive. 6th Street is a dump now. It's overrun by ghetto types. Not what it was even 10 years ago. Still, a great town to be young in - if you don't mind the poor job market outside of tech - but 6th Street's aura is gone.

This, but Texas hasn't always squandered it's potential. Either Georgia has or it just didn't have that much in the past.

And yes - the campus is like a commuter college. It's not a "college atmosphere", like, say: Athens.

Texas - they have literally fricked over two conferences to rig things their way and they still have only one NC in the last 40 years to show for it.

Agreed.

Texas ... It's just a matter of time until they are back on top of the conference and back in the national title conversation.

Texas does less with more resources than anyone in the country.

Yall do realize since Mack Brown's hiring in 1998, they have only won their conference twice (2005, 2009)? And only a single national championship. Its either feast or famine over there and its usually a famine. They squander so much resources. They should be pulling every 5* in the state, they are The Joneses as we were repeatedly told by their athletic director.

Some of yall have really bought into the longhorn hype machine a bit too much.

OU has 16 NCAA recognized national titles. Same as bamas NCAA recognized titles they claim. Texas has 9. STFU until you know what you are talking about. WE are talking SEC math here and OU has 16.

Why don't you google it you dumbass. Bama claims all of their NCAA titles including all the shared titles. If you are going to use bamas 14 then we can use OUs 16.

Georgia EASILY. They tie their own hands.

For example when you are talking about an IPF, Texas doesn't have a badass one because they don't have the space downtown to build it. They will have to knock something else down and build vertically, which takes a ton of planning and has extra costs.

Meanwhile Georgia takes forever to get an IPF because.....um...what I was told was they wanted a building to match their current ones, which you figure would take a decent architect a couple months to work out max. The real reason, and the reason for all of Georgia's problems, is they tie their own hands.

Hiatorically-- Texas and it's not even close, their only title in my lifetime took one of those players schools only get every 50 years or so (see:Cam, Tebow, Herschel) - - they win titles like a Big 10 school, rarely and it gets talked about way too much.

Hell the whole state of Texas is like that- it's like Oklahoma takes all the truly elite talent that knows how to win and leaves the Texas schools to split the rest.

To put it in perspective- since 1980 Florida Schools have won 11 titles and played for roughly 8 to 10 more; Texas schools have won 1 and played for another.

This is a list of championships garnered by the Oklahoma Sooners college football program. The team has captured 44 conference titles, including 14 in a row between 1946–59, and seven claimed national championships: 1950, 1955, 1956, 1974,1975, 1985, 2000.
