I think Franklin is more likely to go than Sumlin.

Understand the idea of getting out with Manziel leaving, but not so sure that USC is a better job than A&M right now, and I'm sure they would match or beat any monetary offer he got.

Franklin has to see that Vandy ceiling is likely 8 wins, and being in the Sec he could be 3-9 any year.

Rate the Aggie meltdown if Sumlin leaves A&M for USC.

I can't wish that on them.

Losing JFF and Sumlin at the same time.... disastrous.

last year of limited scholarships at USC and with the studs they are getting with their limitations it might not take too long to be relevant again. Franklin's name has come up in many high profile jobs and not sure why he did not jump. USC and UT or any high profile job would get good ones if they got Sumlin or Franklin

I don't man. JFF is gone after this season, and Sumlin could easily have been rubbed the wrong way with JFF an the whole situation.

JFF's off the field shite had to rub alot of people the wrong way, could definitely see Sumlin an the admin bumping heads in any number of situations due to it.

He talks like a country boy and is from the south. He's coached in Texas or Oklahoma since 2001. I think you're just talking out of your arse.

Del Rio is not a current HC so if the job was his I think they would have already made some kind of announcement. I think he is fall back if they can't get the high profile HC they want. ESPN thought that Riley, Sumlin, and Sark were the 3 at the top of the list with Del Rio thrown in.

It's possible they're gonna do what lots of programs tend to do (stupidly, in most but not all cases) and let Orgeron show his chops first. That's how programs get stuck with an interim coach that dazzled in his interim season and then spiraled into infamy in his sophomore season. So they literally might not yet have made a decision.

Or they're negotiating. It's only been a week, after all. The firing was, by all accounts, a game-time decision.

Muschamp to texaa is worrisome. Mullen is gone after this year unless he wins a big game and the egg bowl. Sumlin will leave the aggies soon dude has big dreams and will be in the NFL or usc.

This won't happen, as Sumlin won't leave for another college job not named Bama. NFL is another story but I think we have 2-3 more years before its a real danger.

Why only Bama? I mean, it's a great job and all, but hardly a "better" job than USC/Texas/ND/Florida. Frankly, and it's no slam on TAMU, I'd far rather coach at any of the aforementioned than TAMU strictly on a professional basis (as opposed to a personal preference for a given school and its culture.)

I think most of the country would consider USC a 'better' job than aTm at this point. However, although I don't know the exact 'exchange rate', USC would have to offer (just guessing) 1.5 times what aTm would to 'match' the actual take home, due to tax and cost of living differential.
