I'll take the two losses in games that matter little over getting embarrassed by a conference foe in a game that determines the National Champion. It's not really even close.

getting to the NC game and losing is by definition a greater accomplishment than not getting at all.

Exactly. Not to Bama posters though. They would rather lose to ULM at home than lose in the title game.
They would rather get curb stomped by Utah than make the title game and lose. Brilliant.

Bama posters want so badly to believe that Jan.9th was some program destroying loss.
When in reality ,2011 was lagniappe. Most LSU fans looked to 2012 as our year to make a run. While jan.9th sucked, LSU still had a great season. LSU beat 8 ranked teams ,the PAC 12 and rose bowl winner, the big east champ and orange bowl winner, LSU beat 3 top 3 teams ( 2 away from tiger stadium).
While we didn't bring home the trophy, we ha a great season.

Then you're dumb. You would rather get beat at home by northeast Louisiana over getting beat in the national title game?
You would rather get curb stomped by a mid major team , in your first BCS bowl in 8 years, than lose in the title game?
Wow.

I'll take losing to GA State at home each year if Bama then goes on to win the National Title. I'm very surprised you would prefer to lose a title game over winning one. As a Bama fan, I judge success by National Titles. Not how close Bama was to winning one.

You must be very conflicted about '07. LSU loses two games to bad SEC teams, one at home. Then going on to win the Title. Must be a hollow season for you since the two losses are more important to you than the win in the Title game.

They will say that because since then, they have won 2 titles, and that lost doesn't really mean anything now. It's nothing but an embarrassing lost from years ago.

You ask them NOW if they would rather lose to ULM or lose in the title game this upcoming year, they'll probably take the loss in the title game.

Yeah LSU had a great season. Alabama played a great game and LSU not so much. Some Bama fans do need to think about the fact that we did lose to LSU once. This season will be great for the LSU-Bama rivalry. I think this will be the biggest rivalry for the next few seasons.

No you said losing in the title game is worse than losing to ULM and losing to Utah. Which isnt true. Bama poster trying to make jan 9th a program crushing loss when Bama has untainted worse losses and not been crushed.
I didn't say I would take losing in the title game to winning one.

You said losing in the title game was worse than losing to ULM and losing to Utah. Which is dumb.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong point.

I said losing on Jan.9th ISN'T AS SHAMEFUL as losing to ULM , at home, or getting curb stomped by a mid major on your first bcs bowl in 8 years.
That's all I said. LSU loss in the title game isn't as shameful as ULM and Utah loss, and Bama has done just fine since then.

I lived in Decatur, Al for 2 years and have met some great Bama fans. I respect Bama's tradition and the fact that they put southern championship football on the map, but some of the posters on here make it hard to pull for Bama. Entitlement is astounding.

.... and I said, I'd prefer to lose the two insignificant games than to lose the in a game for the Title.

One results in one national title, the other results in winning to insignificant games and no national titles.

Well then that's just dumb. Even losing in a title game will keep your name in the mix as elite football teams.

My best friend, damn near brothers, have been close since age 11, is a die hard Bama fan, this is one of the losses that hurt his soul. He was so hyped cause Bama was finally back and the game wasn't even close. It sucked for me because I lost 100 $ on Bama. also this was one of the games that gave" the mid majors can play with anyone", legs. How could a mid major dominate a great sec team?

Could make a hell of an argument but I think in that time period UF has about 3 or so SEC titles? 2 nationals and 7 bowl wins? So I'd put LSU maybe an inch above UF. Not bad considering where LSU was in the '90s

Considering the fashion the 07 championships were won, I'd put UF above LSU.

Then you're dumb. Losing to ULM is worse than losing to a great Bama team. We arent talking about which game you want to lose. Which is more shameful. Of course you would lose a game of it meant you won a national title. That not the discussion.

I guess its just a matter of preference. I prefer to win a national title. Given the two options I listed, only one choice allows that. To me this is a very easy choice, I'm very surprised that fans would feel differently. Learn something new everyday.

This is so hypocritical coming from a Bama fan. It's crazy.
