Why does Arky want him?

I thought it was injuries that was holding back their world class defense.

I know you were joking; i didn't even think someone could joke and say their defence is good. It's blasphemy.

according to the pigs, they were supposed to have the best defense in the entire NCAA this season, but injuries have screwed them

No one said this.

And yes, injuries have made our defense look worse than it actually is. You don't think losing 5 defensive starters could possibly affect a defense?

But Willy just isn't getting the job done in year four.

what this assshat brings up a post that says something like "arknasas will have the best defense that it's had in years" which we are supposed to have, but you can't with half your defense on the sideline.

with that said, i am not on the fire willy bandwagon, but mike stoops would be an upgrade IMHO. I'm all for upgrading.

Nowhere in that link above said anything about "Best defense in the entire NCAA"

but injuries have screwed them

You don't think losing 5 defensive starters at one point didn't affect anything?

Oh, and our DEFENSE is only giving up 15 PPG.

I want him at Auburn.

Hell, I wanted him at Auburn back in 2002 when we hired Chizik.

And 2005 when we hired Gibbs.

Not 06 because I had a feeling Muschamp was coming.

And by 2008 he was a head coach, so it didn't matter.

I think that Petrino exerts too much control over the D. Our current DC is willing to work under such constraints.

The hiring of Mike Stoops would suggest that Petrino had decided to cede control of the D to a defensive specialist

I'd be for that in a heartbeat.

Why would we do that? I think Wilcox is doing a pretty darn good job considering...
Stoops is one of the best. Wilcox is okay, but I'm not overly impressed.
